I learned that when he wasn't trying to seduce Thumbelina, Mr. Digger was fighting for the rights of tenement residents in the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

YES! I'm glad I'm not the only one that caught that! I paused the movie to look it up because I swore that his voice was Mr. Digger. Sure enough it was.

I also learned that the tablecloth industry was largely in charge of fashion in general at this point in time.

And in lieu of a shirt made from a table-cloth just borrow a pretty blouse from your mom.

Still, I'd argue the two movies are mostly in the same "vain" as they're both product-samples of their respective decades while being centered around the martial arts.
And they both also contain grand moments where the words "Oh my god" are spoken.

Yeah, I noticed that too. And then there's this...

I learned that sometimes you can stumble across a riff almost purely by accident, not even in a genre you normally watch, and find pure, solid gold.

Seriously, the last fifteen minutes of this are beyond amazing.  Never has a movie been so blissfully unaware of how nonsensical it actually is, and yet roll with it anyway.  This is just endless, gratuitous exploitation on screen at all times, and while it may be incredibly stupid and beyond explanation, it is in no way dull.

I don't know how this one isn't up there in popularity with Samurai Cop.  They may be roughly separated by a decade, but those are joined in spirit.  Bad wigs, violence that is inexplicably ignored by the world at large, fighting with hands when guns and weapons are readily available, endless shrieking...

This joins Ghosthouse, Last Slumber Party, Rock N Roll Nightmare, and Anaconda Live (and yes, Samurai Cop) as among my top Rifftrax of all time.  It'll be a regular on in the background while I work on other things, which is how I reward all my favorites. ;)
One Man Band Riffs.  18 riffs, over 600 served, since 2009.
