Yeah, I vaguely remember that. I think his problem was more that it wouldn't star him, since as you said, he could really use the paycheck.

I am wondering what their cameos are going to be. They won't be their original characters, so I hope it's something creative and not just the Ghostbusters pasing them on the street.

Fans were ecstatic to learn that longtime holdout Bill Murray had finally relented and agreed to a Ghostbusters cameo in Paul Feig's upcoming reboot. He already shot the cameo in Boston and is rumored to be playing, in a reversal on Peter Venkman, a ghost debunker.

Considering they're not using the Gozer storyline, probably not.  That and he's the Janine stand-in.
