Right but he's way closer to the comic and it's something some guy put together in his spare time as opposed to a multi-million dollar production

I've been reading the X-men comics since I was 13, so of course I know, but if they decide to make him look different in the movie I tell myself two things: 1) Appearances have no bearing on the quality of the story, and 2) Nothing I can do to change it anyway so I might as well try to accept it.

Apocalypse has a look that's really hard to transition to reality. His face is more robot-ape than human. There's just no way he was going to look comic-accurate, and that means fans have to get used to the look.

That does look awesome, but it would look kind of weird to see him talking in motion, because only that little bit of mouth in the front would be opening and closing. In the comic, everything on that bottom mouth-line-thingy is supposed to be mouth. Real mouths don't work that way.

That's unfortunately the problem.  Either CGI or find someone with a significantly smaller head and make it a suit like the 90s TMNT movies.

I clearly recall many times in the comics I read that when they would show Apocalypse with his mouth open that you'd see electronics inside him. Which always made me wonder if he was entirely a suit.
