Miku, my love, do not SEE Dune, read it. It is unfilmable. The Dune books changed my life. Especially, "God; Emperor of Dune".

It was "Dune"; "Dune Messiah"; "Children of Dune", and the "God; Emperor of Dune" then he died and his son took over the series but I never read those books.

The movies and TV shows were puzzling and crazy.... The books were mind altering.

The movie is crazy, and a horrible representation of the book.  The extended version of the mini-series is probably as good a 5 hour adaptation as possible from a book so complex it would need a multi-year weekly series to do it justice.

Dont forget about all the other expanded universe Dune stories.  Like "This Sandbox Dune", "Dune Too: Sandworm Boogaloo," and "Spice World".

Imrahil, named after a LOTR character. There are many even in the Oxford literary community that would say that LOTR was very over-rated. And in fact HAVE.

I would not agree with them even as I was a huge DUNE fan long before I read LOTR, (all the books), I thought fantasy fiction was for gay-boys and panty-waists... And sci-fi was for real men.

Obviously, I was wrong, but I am man enough to admit that.
