There were lots of announcements - I knew all about it and I'm in a different country and couldn't watch it here.

There were emails, tweets and facebook posts. It was being talked about on these forums. There was an announcement at the live show, according to you guys (again, wasn't available to me here)

MST3K info posted about it: http://www.mst3kinfo.com/?p=18926

If you don't see it because you don't follow any of the above, then I don't know what else they could have done. You've chosen to actively not accept information from them.

Anyway, the good news is they will be available to buy from Rifftrax, so you haven't missed out.

Dammit, I'm talking about HERE. In the official forums. I don't give a shit about the tweets and the FB posts. Receiving an email the night before I made this thread about the downloads was the first I'd seen of their existence. Then I look on TV lineup to see they aired days ago.  >:(

I mentioned that it was being talked about here on the forums.

And it's weird that you got that one email, but not the others.
FINE

Darth Geek

He ignored them because none of the started with "This is how it's going to be"

Don't do twitter yet, I'm a musical artist so yes, they're in my facebook feed but it updates every second in pages - no way to keep up with everything, use it mostly for networking, talking to fellow artists/label mates/working out business deals, promotion and talking to fans/friends. I love Satellite News but don't check i everyday though I should (been working hard lately) - yeah these are excuses and I'm glad that did announce it on all those places though.

But all I meant was; it should've been all over www.rifftrax.com LOL. I visit that multiple times a day and would think most fans would check it rather than ancilliaries/social media to see if theres a new riff or news or something...The forum I'm gonna visit more now, Facebook I'd never catch it over all the posts and mostly on there to get shit done you know? and Twitter - I should have one being an artist but 120 characters is never enough I write diatribes and thesis's; like Sole said "I don't rap in bumper stickers, I'm witty with 40-liners/Every breath is a chorus, sing along if you're still breathing" (the first part mostly - but I love that song; had to finish the bar) off "Bottle of Humans" 8-)

Email again, spam and pointless emails galaore - I do occasionally get the newsletter amongst all the spam mail (spam filter suck, why isnt anyone stepping their game up on that; random though but STILL!  :grr:) - That's how I found out about this absolutely hilarious new short about The Goat (Zhaled? something like that) - good god Its the best short in ages.

Most of my day I spend doing music in one way or another, writing, thinking - planning future projects/ideas/songs, scoping out artists and producers to work, promoting for myself and other brethren, recording, fixing technical issues to troubleshoot or warranties to cover, tailoring session to be sent off to be mixed/mastered (cutting out left over noise/shoes/coughs etc) - digging for samples from public domain movies (vocal and instrumental), networking with producers and artists, working out business deals (on the heels of hammering out an major distribution deal with a dedicated public relations team, already signed to a record label - rap/sing/play the keyboard/drum machine/learning to do voice over work, learning to engineer - have a home studio (always upgrading/construction or evolving) - produce  my own instrumentals, I'm in 4 different groups at the moment all working on projects (some multiple projects - a few which would fall under solo or misc. aswell) - Air Loom Gang is finishing up our debut EP and LP - dropping/signed to Cane Corso Records and Dead Orchard Productions - Aeons Old is half done writing and started recording our first real album "Children of Ghosts LP" (we have a prior EP "How Old?" but thats all 2-4 year old material with no focus/concept); and I still have to work to pay for all this - while trying to save for more equipment and investment/business opportunities - rarely have time to sit and go through all my emails or tags/etc on facebook though Id like to. Gotta grind like crazy if you wanna get anywhere - plus Ive been working out like nuts. The time in the day seems to shrink all the time. At least Ill always have some MST3K or Rifftrax to laugh and lull me to peaceful sleep along with a night "cap" of marijuana and clonazepam no matter how busy I get (I'm one of those people who cant sleep without something on, or at least some music but that'll usually keep me up). 8)

Probably was being made available as you posted.  It just became available this evening.
I agree about advertising on the forum and website.  Cover all the bases!   :highfive:
Miku [off topic but,] what anime is that character in your avatar from? I've seen just about every anime that wasn't too ridiculous for me to handle (IE - way over the top fan service with a weak plot, has real potential but goes no where (Karneval, Pumpkin Scissors, etc) or they just stop making it after hundreds of episodes (Fairy Tale  ) or just an amalgam of better shows (Guilty Crown...) - well and I'm a dub guy so unless its amazing (like When The Cicadas Cry/When The Seagulls Cry - that had I to watch in subs cause otherwise season one makes absolutely no sense and Seagulls is genius) and they just stop dubbing it (Case Closed) that's a show killer to me too) but I've don't think Ive seen that before - Looks interesting (mecha-ish without being full out mecha).

And did the Kickstarter shorts ever come out? And/or will they? I mean...last kick starter with Exclusive Shorts - Mr. B Natural, etc etc eventually we're put up for sale for everyone (and I had the spare change to make that tier - to me if your gonna eventually release the old "exclusives" - you should with the new ones, it's really only fair).

(Looks at Kickstarter rewards page) I see A Case of Spring Fever and AYFT: Play Clay and they're both available in the store as well. I don't think the third short,  Duck and Cover, has been recorded yet.
Yeah - Duck and Cover was more what I meant, didn't know Play Clay (another awesome short, they need to do every ACI Film ever made) was a kickstarter short and saw A Case of Spring Fever at.....(its the weed hold on)  Sharknado Live? and own it now too of course. Weird that they used the kickstarter short for Sharknado. Maybe because they knew they couldn't VOD Sharknado - they wanted something they could put up for sale - since mp3s sell less overall.

Although - I demand a Sharknado MP3 treatment, I posted this in Jack The Giant Killer VOD comments - but you mean to tell me, we got an unasked for, unneeded/wanted - studio VOD treatment for Jack The Giant Killer - another Rifftrax Live that's still available (in its most hilarious form IMHO) on VOD and I think DVD still?

YET! They're not going (I know this isn't confirmed, just saying it seems that way - I HOPE I'm wrong) - to do Sharknado - another Rifftrax Live that has no VOD nor never will - and isn't available anywhere in any format?! Someones got their priorities/wires crossed! ;-)

Again, still love you Rifftrax; it's not rage the size of 10,000 Supernovae suns (archaic plural form, not a typo haha) - its Constructive Criticism :D

You check a site that updates maybe every other week, (if there is a new release) multiple times a day, but not places they post regularly? Well, that's cool, if that's how you roll I guess. I'm going to bet they have the numbers on visitors to their page vs the number of people who see their tweets and Facebook posts though, and I doubt they go with the one that gets less views.

If you add the rifftrax email address to your contacts, it should stop going to your spam folder.

As for the Sharknado riff, thrashzilla posted this a couple of posts before your last post on the Sharknado thread:

Nothing on the schedule yet but that doesn't mean no. With Asylum involved as well as Fathom, that's another voice in the planning for any releases (even our own studio MP3)...but I, and this is not the official word, would expect something within the first half of 2015.

Since this is off topic and a hot thread, just go to the "Music: The Universal Language" section of the forum.  Three or four threads about Miku there. :rimshot:

It was on the main site, multiple posts on Facebook, Twitter, etc as well as emails and a Total Riff Off 2 thread in the forum, and we're constantly trying to come up with new ways to make sure that this doesn't happen. (I believe there was a mention at one of the live shows as well...?) Other than calling you personally, I don't know how much more we could have done. Sorry. :(

NatGeo got us the assets sooner after the last one, hence the earlier release. They took a bit longer this time due to the holidays and a tighter production schedule, therefore the later release.

Any issues with the RiffTrax main page should be directed to support@rifftrax.com Attempts to engage with me directly about such matters will result in ridicule.

Pak-Man

Yeah, they outright showed the first 5 or so minutes of one of the specials at the Anaconda show. There was a reminder on the facebook feed, twitter, and I posted a reminder over here on the forums for those of us stuck in the late 1990s.

So before I posted this, I went back through "Coming soon!!!". Could you point out where I missed your posting? I'm sure it was me. I mean, this is where the last announcement was made for April 1st, right? So I must be missing the announcement.

The main site is Rifftrax.com, not the forum.

Here is the thread that was talking about it before it aired though: http://forum.rifftrax.com/index.php?topic=28518.60

Maybe we're having a communication issue. Forgive me if this sounds repetitious.

Where was the announcement for new upcoming Total Riff Off episodes in "RiffTrax Forum » Latest news & announcements » Coming soon!!!"?

Facebook, Twitter, subliminal messages beamed to my dreaming fucking subconscious, etc. That's all really nice. No, really. That's great.

But what I'm asking is: for those forum members checking this, the designated thread for upcoming or new releases: where was the announcement for the two latest episodes? In this, the "Latest news & announcements » Coming soon!!!" "Want to know what RiffTrax are coming next? Look here!" thread, I mean.

Edward J Grug III

No it wasn't there, never was there and nobody said it was. The forum has been a poor place to get information for a long time, so to rely on it is to do so at your own peril. However, in this instance, it was being discussed elsewhere on this forum, in a thread you were active in.

Things are often repetitive if you keep asking questions you already have an answer for, by the way.
