The movie having a limited, one-day, release in third-rate art-house theaters is hardly a victory.

It's definitely not a one day release, I'm planning to see it Friday and I'm sure it'll be around for at least a few weeks/months like any release.  Also, per screen average for it will be huge, which will probably convince the major chains to show it in a week or two once nothing happens.

Also Alamo Drafthouse is definitely NOT third-rate.  It's pretty swank and is known for their awesome events.  Plus tables for food and beer.

And don't piss on their hospitality.

Every time I hear about or see Kim Jong Un, I just think of the the Warden's spoiled fat son in Ricky-O: The Story of Ricky.

LIKE!  LIKE SO MUCH!  Even if we had our precious like buttons back, I would be sad, I could only like once.

Miku Fan

It's playing at the Belcourt in Nashville, Rifftrax's southern headquarters...

My friends from Team Jerk saw the film at a test screening several months ago and sweded it. Be amused!

So THAT'S how the tables in a cinema thing works.

Just do what I do and hit the like button multiple times. Yeah, it doesn't count for much, but it's the thought that counts.

Relaxing Dragon

It's coming out at my local downtown theater. Gonna give it a go this weekend, and finally get all the fuss over with.

I haven't decided if I'm going to bring a tiny American flag to wave.

Exactly what would be considered an "independent" theater?  I'm only curious as to whether it's playing anywhere near me, but the only theaters in my area are the big name ones (Regal and AMC).  I have no desire to see this movie; just need to see locations for my own curiosity.

These days, any theater that isn't part of some massive chain (your AMCs, Regals, Cinemarks, Edwards, etc.) is likely to be independent. The movie is still off Fandango, but it's up on movietickets.com, so you can search for showtimes there.

The Alamo chain is showing it. And speaking of that...

Here's the local brew that the Denver location serving along with their showings of The Interview tomorrow:

It's "a dark, overly ambitious, out-of-balance beer that leans to the bitter side. As foreboding as it may seem, it's actually a delicious and supremely drinkable black IPA that is easy to down and not nearly as frightening as it appears."
