I thought it was awesome. I didn't think they were gonna top Sharknado, but they did. It was GREAT!

"Oh hi, Johnny, you're my favorite customer."

I almost fell out of my seat.

I ALMOST said that whole line to Janelle the moment the lady got behind the counter, and then they said it in the riff!! I was thrilled!!! So perfect.

The audio mix (once Kevin asked for more movie) was fine in our theater... The first time in a LONG time my eardrums haven't been blown out by treble at one of these. We definitely did have it all in surround so that may be the source of the issue as mentioned above?

I didn't see Sharknado, but I agree that this topped it. This was a fantastic riff and the energy was great!!! The movie energy however suddenly takes a nosedive right when Godzilla comes back... Such an "Oh this again" point in the story.

MY favourite part of the movie though was when he roared and it caused some cars to flip and somehow immediately explode in the air!!! A really bad effect and it makes NO sense and I just about died laughing!

Birmingham (Vestavia Hills), AL here. Just reported in the sound thread (probably got ~30% of the jokes, if that). From what I could hear, it was fun in places (nowhere near the best), but perhaps it was just so frustrating to miss out on so much that it was really hard to get into. First time I came home and didn't want to immediately get on the forum and gush. The intro was a lot of fun. I very well may buy it just so I can freeze-frame all that's going on. Also, I really liked the Godzilla song that bookended the feature. Anyone know where I can find it?

EDIT: FOUND IT! It's a song about Pacific Rim and can be found here ("You're like a broken keyboard! There's no 'escape'!") : http://music.mikephirman.com/track/not-this-time-the-kaiju-song

The guys' audio ranged between nearly inaudible and just loud enough.  It was only occasionally a problem.  The riffing was great.

Favorite lines I can remember:
"Shockingly, the worm electrocution budget has been placed on the chopping block."
"Why is everybody acting like he's Channing Tatum?"
"I'm a Science Man!"
"If only this helicopter had a 'go up' feature!"
"Echo Three, I'm still here!"
"O hi Johnny, I didn't know it was you!"
Correction: the coat hanger should be upside down.

Yeah, I got home and wanted to gush and... couldn't. Because I just didn't hear enough of the riffing to grasp what was being said and joked on!  I've seen people making quotes and I'm like, "That was a joke in this?!"

I was cracking up about the filming vertically riff. My wife gets so mad at me because I give her a hard time whenever she takes photos or video that way.  :D

Kudos to whoever wrote the Ignatius J. Reilly hot dog cart joke! Now that was a deep cut, but we caught it.

Yeah, I hate that too. Why is "hold it the way you'd hold a TV screen" SO hard to figure out?
I used to have an image here, but Photobucket got cheap about remote linking. I guess I'll have to think of something witty instead. Which I will. Later. It caught me by surprise, in all honesty. It's hard to be clever on command, I mean, YOU try it. Be funny: NOW! See, tough. So, gimme a bit, 'kay?

I agree with not taking video that way, but pictures should be taken that way if appropriate.  There's a reason for the terms "portrait" and "landscape" when it comes to how a picture or painting is presented.

I try to do everything in dutch angles.

Do you normally take your pictures in the hideouts of Batman villains?  If so, then that is completely appropriate.

No, I try to have as many birds in shots as I can though... Keeps things more suspenseful.

If anyone is looking for the movie on DVD the Best Buy near me had about 50 of them in the bargain bin for $5.

Get them today before they're all gone...by which I mean the Best Buys.  The DVDs will probably still be in the abandoned building.
