What did you learn?

In every movie we learn something.

So what did you learn this time?

Miku Fan

The little kid in The Black Scorpion moved to a tropical Island, but was as annoying as ever.

I learned that a predilection to cross-dressing existed in caveman times.

I learned that apparently these islanders have seen so many dinosaur-on-dinosaur and dinosaur-on-excavator fights that they've grown down-right bored with them.

I learned that Torgo became kind of an ass after he fled The Master's house.

TriffRax

I learned that it actually is possible to make a giant dinosaur movie that's entirely perfunctory and is 100% suspense free.

I learned that the movie "Eegah" totally ripped off the woman-held-captive-by-caveman-resists-sexual-advances-of-caveman-by-distracting-caveman scene. Or maybe this movie ripped off "Eegah", I don't know. The important thing to note is that I had to witness two woman-held-captive-by-caveman-resists-sexual-advances-of-caveman-by-distracting-caveman scenes and I'm hurt and scared.
Oh bite me, it's fun!

I also learned that the "Island Manager" became obsessed with the idea of capturing the caveman because he could make money by displaying him, yet didn't seem to grasp the fact that he had TWO LIVE DINOSAURS that would net him far more money. What a maroon!

Our Dinosaurus! precedes Eagh! (note: both contain exclamations!) by a year or two. But your making the connection is right on target.

Not even 10 minutes in and I've learned that if it's incredibly dangerous for a small boat to be in the water where there are dangerous explosive mines, the best course of action is to immediately go out in the water with a second small boat.

So this movie, that is uncaring of being accurate in any other way, is still the only movie I've ever seen to show a realistic response to what happens when you break a bottle in your hand.

Kept waiting for the Eegah riff but it never happened. That was unpredictable, as much as  the movie itself wasn't.

I learned that cavemen apparently knew how to shave.

I learned that Rifftrax can go through all the unfrozen caveman scenes without any Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer references.

I learned you can in fact be racist against white people. Thanks O'Leary!
