At this point I've at least learned there was no such thing as fashion in the 1980s.  At that the last day of school for High School Senior is kind of mundane.

I think the dude was right, she was clearly being visited by her "aunt" because she pretty damn testy.

I learned that teenage girls in the 1980s kept their bedrooms pretty sparse.

For some people deafness comes and goes.

When your recently graduated/off for Summer-vacationed teenage daughter wants to have a slumber party it's a good idea to harass them to go to bed at the earliest possible time.

In the 1980s some people's sole TV was a 13" "portable" unit.

It's possible for a "junk drawer" to not just have things in it like keys, loose change, batteries and the like but instead a random assortment of kitchen utensils including two large, very sharp, butcher knives.

I learned that I forgot to pick-up orange juice on my way into work this morning.

I learned that you can be a successful spree killer despite spending most of the night in the same room.

Bob

I learned that in the 1980s every can of beer foamed out when you opened them.

EVERY time you open them

MrBNatural by Conn

I learned when you have really bad actors to just play really loud music to drown them out.
I also learned that the director played the killer but I am certain the killer was actually Shelly Hack.

Bob

I also learned it was so easy to sneak in homes and hide.

I must try that.......be right back

I learned that finding a scalpel on the floor is more terrifying than finding a body that has been slashed with said scalpel. Also, more terrifying than being threatened with that scalpel.

I learned that making a movie must be the easiest thing in the world to do.

Darth Geek

I learned there are only 7 seconds in 10 seconds.

I did not learn what the HELL was up with the black and white wallpaper in the one girl's parents house. Seriously, that was hideous.

I learned that the actor playing the doctor didn't give a single damn about what he was doing here.

TriffRax

I learned it was apparently legal to end a movie with an "it was a dream or was it" ending in the 80s. I thought that device had been outlawed in the days before talkies became a thing.

Sugar Ray Dodge

Yeah! So what was real and what wasn't? Was the scalpel guy like Freddy Kreuger or something? I HAVE TO KNOW!

Bob

I am hoping that the tiny TV without a picture was part of the dream and not real.

I learned a director can "accidentally" record the level of his maturity by panning over a Sesame Street poster.

On that same note, I learned that you should not hire a ten year old to direct your sequel to Heathers.

I learned that in the eighties families kept multiple phones in the house and at least two in the bathroom.

I learned that you can have meth-sized bags under your eyes and still be a hot redhead. (Well, I thought she was hot).

I learned that thirty year old high school students do not like to hang out with their thirty year old mom.

Trekker4747

She was attractive. But then she talked and my penis fell and shriveled up like a damp, spent, snake firework

So what dream level was she in during the dream in the middle of the movie? Was she in Limbo?

I learned that Andrew Dice Clay would be put-off by the cursing in this movie.
