It says it's going to be about making the Room mostly.

I want to know about Tommy's time in the Arctic running small-arms with the Zohan and Brian Bonsall.

Sounds like a silly idea for such a dumb movie. The ED WOOD film had more to work with.

But I hear the book it's based on is quite funny, and it was written by actor Greg Sestero, who was also in RETRO PUPPET MASTER.

My only real problem with this is that it is getting Tommy Wiseau much more attention.

Yeah, I immediately thought of Ed Wood too when I heard this movie was getting made. I don't think it's gonna be as good as Ed Wood. I'm not saying it's gonna suck or anything, Ed Wood was just THAT good a movie.

As for James Franco playing the part: yeah, I think he'll do pretty well, and it seems like they're casting him in EVERYTHING ELSE lately, so why not this ^_^.  The only problem is that he's handsome-- that's a huge strike against anyone who wants to play a convincing Tommy Wiseau. It'd be like casting some smoking hot actress for the role of whoever that chick was who played Lisa. There's suspension of disbelief, and then there's just madness!

I've read The Disaster Artist, and it's a good read. I could see it working as a motion picture.

I agree. It was a good read and I can definitely see it working.  It's mainly the story of "The Room" but from Greg's POV.  Should be entertaining!
