What did you learn?

Well, most of all I learned that "lepus" means "rabbit."

I learned that rabbits are actually omnivores.

I learned that ADR is actually an art and some movies shouldn't take it on if not prepared.

Darth Geek

I learned that the real villain here is the little girl. She fucked with the experiment and caused all of this.

Trekker4747

Well, yeah. But, to be fair, her parents weren't keeping a good eye on her nor should they have taken her to work with them.

Bob

That little girl certainly is a devil child.

I did learn that the best way to kill bunnies is shoot through your basement ceiling and anything you shoot will go up flying through the air.

True, but she deliberately messed with the experiment.

Ehhhh...... Yeah. But not in a "I want to mess up the science of this experiment" kind of way but in a "I want to save my favorite rabbit" kind of way.  And then manage to take that rabbit home but then kind of forget about him when I lose it.

I learned that "vampires" and "saber-tooth tigers" are perfectly logical explanations to medical mysteries.

Well, it's official, we have a rabbit epidemic. As a scientist, I suggest we inject them with God knows what that we got from who the hell knows where. It's bound to do something positive, right?

Bob

Seems to me that putting a few wolves and coyotes out there would have solved the problem at the beginning.

I learned that people in the 70's liked to watch Tom and Jerry cartoons at the drive-in.

I learned that the more a movie tries to make bunnies scary, the more adorable they seem.

I learned that there is another giant killer bunny movie that I thought was "Night of the Lepus" until I saw this and realized it was a different movie. In this other giant killer bunny movie, they drown the bunnies at the end by flooding a plain. Does anyone know what this other giant killer bunny movie is called?
Oh bite me, it's fun!

abosch

I learned that Elgin, Illinois is still considered to be a small town near Schaumburg even though it has a population of nearly 100,000.

Choc113

I learned that two of the cast of Star Trek TOS were in godawful ecologically themed cheap horror films in the seventies! What the hell Hollywood?
What's next? George Taki takes on killer Bee's or Walter Koenig fights the Yeti? Maybe a sort of ecological Rambo starring James Doohan as a physically and mentally  scarred Vietnam veteran going up against evil loggers in the sweeping grandeur of the northern pine woods!
Picture it! "Scotty" stripped to his more than ample waist and smeared from head to toe with mud and bear shit becoming one with nature as he constructs cunning traps to kill and maim loggers in stomach churningly graphic scenes reminiscent of the Killing fields! Time Out called it a film to "avoid at all costs"and Siskel and Ebert gave it the rare two thumbs down "terrible" rating..A sequel is already planned were he teams up with Charles Bronson to sabotage Alaskan oil drillers headed by Michael Cain with terribly obviously died jet black hair! and ....and...erm
errrrrr Sorry got a bit carried away there:)

CJones

I learned that forced perspective can be used for evil.

Was the killer bunny movie you're asking about from the seventies? I'm guessing you're thinking of rats and Food of the Gods. At the end of that Bert I Gordon movie rats are drown in a flooded plain. Can 't think of another bunny movie.

Also, they used to show cartoons before the main feature started at the Drive-in. You know, right before they showed Once is Not Enough and Towering Inferno.

I learned that young girls and science don't mix.
