I'd take Dirk Hardpeck, grandma lady, and the golf carts any day over the crap that is BFE.

Gotta say I'd take Space Mutiny. Without the riffs, both of them are pretty bad, though. But you do have the wonderful tacky 80s-ness to Space Mutiny versus the big-budget, still-can't-pull-it-out-of-their-arse-ness of BFE. Add the Battlestar Galactica space scenes and John Phillip Law and that makes it infinitely more watchable than Barry Pepper's pinched face and Travolta's hammy performace.

Hazzah

Battlefield Earth is worse only because everyone went into the production thinking they were making one of the greatest sci-fi adventures ever commited to celluloid.  About an hour into filming, it seems as if they just gave up.

Hi-Keeba!

I did read Dianetics... his conclusions were all wrong...what a truck-load of turds... but more importantly, I worked for Ted Moxon the brother of "The Prince of Darkness" Kendrick (Rick) Moxon who was the lawyer for Scientology through-out the 80's and 90's!

He sent Ted "The Big Book of Scientology" leather bound gold leafed wondrousness, it was. Huge. The size of a coffee table, it wasn't just a coffee table book, IT WAS THE COFFEE TABLE! And costs the members 500 bucks, after they reach the 4th level of Clear. Rick got it for free...

So Ted and I were laughing at the lies all throughout like, El Ron was never a Merchant Marine in the British Navy, blah blah blah... His savage rejection of psychotherapy, (I don't like it either, but his denial speaks of an underlying "issue")...

And then we turned to it. The Page.  A glorious full colour painting of jesus, Ghandi, The Prophet Muhammad, The Buddha, Shiva, etc... all circling around the chubby, bearded, Royal Navy Hatted face of El Ron... right in the center, surrounded by peaceful clouds and blue sky...

We laughed and laughed... Because, as we all know, "L. Ron Hubbard is above all of the prophets of old!" Really?

I'm a witch and would take Christ above El Ron any day, and twice on Sunday....

The key difference is that Space Mutiny is a campy movie that can be watched without the riff, but watching Battlefield Earth should be banned by the Geneva Convention as torture.
I survived the San Diego Comic Con 2010 Hall H stabbing.
