There was a large hole in my Rifftrax library that I never thought would be filled.

Finally.  Can't wait to dl and watch.  Hope you guys get to part 2 soon!

The riff was great, as usual, but the Deathly Hallows pt1 is sooooooo dull. There was zero pleasantness in the movie it's like 90% dreary sadness in the middle of no where.

I liked the movie, except for the dance scene.  I'm hardly a book purist, but I do like them to keep the characters similar to the book versions.  And book Harry is a bit of an asshole.  He has zero empathy for others, while he does care for the physical well being of his friends, the emotional well being of them never crosses his mind.

I have yet to see the movie in general, but I laughed heartily when I heard that they used Nick Cave and The Bad Seed's "O Children" for the dance scene. Did they even pay attention to what that song is about?!? An apology from a father to his children before he murders them and then himself because the police are coming to arrest him for his crimes.

Great dancing music, if you ask me.

On topic though, I'll be grabbing this riff as soon as I can get a hold of the movie. :D

He doesn't really say in the interview. Just that they had become rehashes, and so many of the blockbusters felt the same to them now.

Well, they said that about part one kinda, and they still did it

That link goes to an empty page? But I agree with the sentiment you say they felt! (I'd love to see them do more diverse blockbusters, not just more entries in the same series though)

I get and understand what you mean, but I just think they should do it for harry potter, not like every part series movie out there

I haven't watched any Harry Potter riffs...yet.  Maybe some day.

I've been very openly annoyed by the "nothing blockbuster but series we've already done some of" thing... but the HP series has been the most consistently strong, only very occasionally feeling tired and overdone. It would be a shame for THIS one to not get completed after they did all those damn Twilight flicks and all 6 Star Wars and however many Star Treks and all the Spidermen and X-Men and various things that have become so tiresome as to become boring.

I love their Harry Potter riffs and I honestly hope they complete it... especially with only 1 part remaining.
