No encore shoing for Night of the Living Dead?

I'm surprised they aren't doing an encore shoing for Night of the Living Dead. Do those shows just not make very much money?

KidFlash

It's probably because:

a) they'll bring it back for a Best Of Rifftrax Live in January
or
b) the VOD/disc will be out in the spring

My best guess is A.

That's a shame because I bought tickets in advance, then had to work overtime so I couldn't go.  Thought that there would be an encore show by Halloween, but guess I'll have to wait longer.

So sad!  "sniff-sniff"

If they aren't profitable, you wouldn't know it by theater attendance around here. I've been attending these since Reefer Madness and the attendance has steadily grown to the point where these last 2 have been completely sold out. My guess is that an encore just hasn't been able to get scheduled with all the other events and movies the theaters are showing. I'd bet KidFlash is right and it will just take a few months. I think there was another one (Manos?) that took a while to get an encore.

Other than the best of they did in January (the first time) encore showings were a thing of the past.  Starship Troopers was different from previous Live shows because of the Kickstarter thing. With so much interest and hype I bet they sold a ton of pre-sale tickets which prompted the immediate encore.  My guess is that NOTLD didn't bring the bucks that ST did, hence no encore.

If they weren't profitable I doubt we would have had 3 this year.
