I'm hoping it is a disaster type movie, a parody of Roland Emmirich style blockbusters. Because based on the other two, that means it'll actually be BETTER than the kind of movie it parodies, and we'll actually get a good disaster movie for once.

QuoteNot much has been revealed about the new film yet, but we know it won't  be another zombie, police or slasher movie, and Pegg and Wright have indicated that it could revolve around turning 40 and middle age. Turning a certain age coinciding with the end of one's life on earth? Could something Logan's Run-esquebe coming our way? Or is something more literal – an actual End of The World – in the works?

Maybe it's about the making of that shitty Pirates of the Caribbean movie At world's end.

Heh, I just watched Hot Fuzz the other day, and I said to myself: "Man, it would be so cool if Simon Pegg and Nick Frost were my gay uncles."

So hopefully it's about that.
"Hey, you kids! Those boxes are for shipping! Not for creating a world of pure imagination!"

You feel the goosebumps like I did?

Space version 2.0

Aw, they ruined the new fence gag.

I'll be there opening day, with bells on. Which will annoy my fellow theatergoers, but HOW ELSE CAN I SHOW MY EXCITEMENT?

I like that Martin Freeman will be in more than one scene this time.

Now THIS is how trailers make you want to see a movie.

Tripe

Delightful, and Heap's in it, always a good thing.

That does look really good. So glad these guys have become successful in mainstream. They deserve it. And I'd hate to sound like a hipster for loving them.

BTW, check out the 12 pubs.  Clearly, each of them is representative of the story's arc... and not just because they go to those bars.

Yeah, my cousin Josh first turned me on to Spaced (and British sitcoms as a whole, really. Before that I thought they were all about rich dudes wearing dresses) about seven or eight years ago. These guys can make me laugh any time, I look forward to it every time they work together.

Shame we never got that third season of Spaced, though. Too late now, I think. That worked when the characters were 20-somethings just sort of starting out in life, but their characters would be too old to get into the same kind of adventures. Or at least it'd be a bit sad if they still were. So, oh well, what we got was great, and that American version never made it past an unaired pilot, so let's call it a wash! ^_^
I used to have an image here, but Photobucket got cheap about remote linking. I guess I'll have to think of something witty instead. Which I will. Later. It caught me by surprise, in all honesty. It's hard to be clever on command, I mean, YOU try it. Be funny: NOW! See, tough. So, gimme a bit, 'kay?
