It's a little surreal to hear Brad Dourif say he's too scared to watch horror movies, that's like Wes Anderson saying he doesn't like weak comedies.

I'm not one of those people that buys into that whole 'remakes or sequels ruin the original' shite so I'm  really looking forward to this, enjoyed Rob's other movies and it'll be nice to see how my horror-fan brothers who often complain that modern remakes are too tame react to it.

Zombie's other movies were technically very competent, and I've always quite liked the Halloween series, so I wouldn't mind seeing this.

The only film of his that I thought was weak was The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. His other films were quite good. Bottle Rocket was one of Martin Scorsese's top ten favorite movies of the 1990s.
