75 car crash with 3 deaths and multi injuries local.  Just got word from my cousin, his son was airlifted to the hospital.  Its foggy and wet and its a bad place for accidents anyway.  Word is it was started by someone going 90 and weaving  in and out of lanes.  Guess we'll find out soon enough.  Dumbass drivers.

Yikes, hope your cousin's son will be alright.

Agree 100% with the last statement (from personal experiences).

I am very sorry.  I hope your cousin's son doesn't have serious consequences to his injuries. :(

They think he's gonna be OK docs are keeping him sedated, few broken bones but nothing too serious.  He's only 8 so they didn't want to take any chances.  I now know that it wasn't just one accident.  but a few involving over 75 cars.  It could have been a lot worse

Glad to hear he is going to be OK.

Just reading there were 17 accidents involving 95 cars due to the fog.

wow, numbers just keep going up.  Heard it made national news

It sounds like the arm wasn't rotated to the proper orientation.

Take the arm completely off, and make sure the small post is still rotating.

I came back to look at this thread and I read this much of this post at the top of the page.  Thinking at first it was about an injury.

Without context, this results in some rather disturbing imagery.

Especially in such close proximity to a series of posts about a huge auto accident.

hehe...put it in the "pretend the posts are in reverse order" thread, and it WILL be...or maybe even worse.

Well, sonofabitch! Netflix sent me the DVD for the crappy live action Jim Carrey Grinch movie rather than the animated one it was supposed to, because the disk was in the wrong envelope (the envelope said it was the 1966 cartoon). So I can't watch the Insert Coin(s) To Continue iRiff yet.

Also, why has noone riffed the live action Grinch yet?

:(  Sorry, Im.  That kind of unplanned-for bill is rough to deal with.

[Edited to clarify what the sad face meant.]

So I got a bill for $3500 today from that whole hepatitis thing.  It was caused by my Doctor overmedicating me with fucking VITAMINS, and I have kind of shit insurance, with  $5k deductible.  I knew, I fucking KNEW I should have refused the CT scan. I have no idea how we're going to pay this.

Yikes! That's horrible. Vitamins, you say? I have a long running feud with my mother over their efficacy. She wastes at least a hundred dollars a month on them.

That is way too much money.  Hope she doesn't take too much of certain ones like A.  You can overdose on certain vitamins, mostly the oil based ones that stay in your system for many days.

And taking a lot of most of the other ones is simply a waste, the excess just goes down the drain, and makes your kidneys work harder for no reason.  Occasional extra vitamins can help if you are sick or stressed, but taking a lot of them all the time really is a waste.

Maybe she is spending a lot on joint supplements?  Those things do help but are way overpriced.

And Im:  $5K deductable, I guess that insurance is only good for big stuff like surgery.  It really stinks that insurance to cover stuff like what you got costs hundreds of bucks a month...

I'm no lawyer, but that sounds kinda malpraticy.
