Well, let's see how it turns out I guess. Some of you probably already heard about it but I just found out. Thoughts? Arnold is said that he would only play a cameo and an introduction to a new terminator type. Here is the article I read about it.

QuoteCatwoman and Terminator 3 screenwriters John Brancato and Michael Ferris completed a draft (or 80 page treatment depending on who you talk to) in 2004. David C. Wilson (Supernova) was brought on to do a total re-write based on their story.

Catwoman, T3 and Supernova... you just can't go wrong with that kind of pedigree behind ya....

Well if the guy who wrote Catwoman can't kill the Terminator franchise, no one can.

Except mabye Micheal Bay..... ::) But then he isn't associated with the project. Thankfully. Of course i'm probably one of the few people that don't think he is a horrible director. Just a guy who gets lucky :-P. He is just...ok. :-P

Please just END it AAAAH

If they are doing another T movie, then it should be i nthe future, when the bots are finally destroyed and the war "ends."

No mor going back in time etc etc....

I don't think Michael Bay is a bad director.  He's very good at making a certain kind of movie.  While a lot of people on this board don't really like the films he makes (myself included), I think we can probably all agree that he's really good at making them.

Back to the topic though, I would say that the screenwriting news concerns me quite a bit, but I'm really not interested in any more Terminator movies.  T2 was incredible because of James Cameron, and without him, the series is just more sci-fi action.  I'm sure there will be some cool visuals, but cool visuals show up in every other movie these days.  The story just wasn't really there in T3, and I'm sure it'll be diminished even more in T4.

I've been saying for a long time that if they ever do a third one it should be the war of the machines.  Luckily, T3 established that Judgement Day has to occur, so hopefully they are forced to do the revolution.  With that said, I'm pissed that James Cameron won't be doing it.  He should have been the only one to do Terminator movies.

I've got it.

The most terrifying Terminator of them all:

Al Gore.

Think about it. His droning voice, his unwavering drive, his incredible bulk...

He's unstoppable!!!

Sharktopus

He has ridden the mighty moon worm...

I don't know, I'd watch it. T3 was dumb, but not offensively so, and most of it was pretty watchable. It's not like they're making Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4, or Die Hard 4, or Indiana Jones 4, or Alien 4.

Wait, what?

I've said this before in another thread... this will turn out exactly like the matrix sequels (ie; people versus machines + tons of CGI = Boring as hell). Do we really need a T4? The world has been destroyed, the only thing left to do is show the human uprising (which was lame in matrix1&2, not to mention that in Terminator we already "know" that John Connor leads them to victory) whats the point?

no no no...you are all wrong  ;)

Don't they know that when you do a 4th movie...you have to do a prequel!!!!
...just like Batman...man!

Pak-Man

But a prequel in a time travel movie could very well take place in the future. :^)

Johnny_Short_Torso

I think it should take place in the 1970's. Samuel L Jackson plays the Julesinator and wears a big-ass afro and wherever he goes he blows people away for carrying suitcases full of gold lights.

Hobbit

I'll reserve criticism for when it comes out.  I'll probably go watch it because I like over the top violence.  That being said, however, I think T3 was a good place to end the series, but I must admit that there's a certain appeal to seeing the actual revolution, and it's not like they're cloning the hero and the villain to bring them both back from death for one final sequal.  Nobody would be dumb enough to do that, right?  RIGHT?!
