Could we get a better option for embedding videos?  I don't like the way you have to take the standard Youtube embed code and cut it up to embed using the current flash tag.  Some sites I can't figure out how to embed at all.  Any way it could be modified so that you can just cut and paste the embed code, like you can do in any environment that just uses regular HTML?

Secondly, whenever you click the "quote" link on a post, it quotes that all in the quick reply window instead of opening it up in a new page as it used to.  That's kind of irritating if you want to use any of the board code buttons (bold, hyperlink, italics, image, etc.,) in your reply.  There's a simple workaround of just doing a copy and paste of the quoted reply and then going to the new reply window.  But if there's a way you can rework the code for the board to eliminate that extraneous step, that'd be great.

if you hit the preview button under the quick reply text area after quoting, it'll take you to the full reply thingy.

Oh neat.  I guess that's good enough.

Still, the video embed function could use work.

I agree about the video embed thing. It' seems needlessly complicated, and there isn't always an option for "use old embed code" on videos.

I would also like a button to resize pictures. I can never seem to get the size= thing you can do in the img code to work.

We used to have a YouTube button but has long since disappeared..
I guess it couldn't be integrated during one of the forum upgrades er something.. :o

It still opens a new page for me.

Same for me, it opens in the standard editor, but I have the quick reply option turned off in my profile, maybe that does it.

You can also use the preview button to move your message into the standard editor. I agree, though. It'd be cool if we didn't have to.
