"Should be a quiet weekend." Or, should it?

Arnold gets to do the "I'm gettin' too old for this shit" routine!

Upon seeing the cast list for the Robocop remake (2013), I got excited. I mean, Hugh Laurie (:heart throb:), Gary Oldman, Samuel L Jackson....it should be awesome right?

Then I found out some plot details and I'm a sad panda now.

Edit: Oh! I'm also holding my breathing in hope that "The Wolverine" won't suck like "Origins" did. I don't know who's set to direct it now (it's been thru quite  a few hands) but I hope them concentrating on his time in the Far East will make for a really damned good movie. I, personally, love Hugh Jack as Wolverine (and...LOVE Hugh Jackman so I may be biased heh). I think he IS Logan you know? I couldn't picture anyone else being him. It just sucks that he's a good actor but was given poop to work with (Xmen 3 and Origins, I'm looking your way). So..lets hope huh?

I was bieng threated with death by wolf raping before it was cool!.

:P I'd figured anything I say, especially when it comes to movies, isn't new here. But, this website can explain what's going on better then I can.

Long story short, Al-Qaeda and terrorists are now involved. Maybe it won't suck, but...I don't as optimistic as I once was.

Stolen, not to be confused with Taken. Or, is it?

At first I was like "Really? That was a quick rip-off"...

but then I was more like, "Eh, seems like a better movie Nic has done in awhile".

"Unforgiven" will be remade into a Samurai period drama:

I'm really psyched about this. I'm a huge fan of "The Magnificent Seven" and "Fistful of Dollars" so I'm really interested in how this turns out.

Agreed.   And I loved "Unforgiven", so the change of background could use the great characters wonderfully.

Personally my taste has been sullied for "remakes, re-imaginings, prequels" etc. If they're good, great. I'm just gonna wait for the blu-ray anyway.

Those Robocop spoilers were hilarious, so many angry hashtags

I'm honestly afraid the new Robocop (if it fails) will ruin any future career Hugh Laurie has in the states.

I hope so. Then he can get back to doing good stuff in the UK instead of shit here.

.....I like the cut of your jib Imrahil.

I change my original comment.

There's got to be some sort of project that Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry can get back together on, surely?

I've got it!  Make Stephen Fry the next Doctor Who.  Hugh Laurie can be his companion.   :)

Johnny Unusual

People who would make great Doctor Who's aside from Fry and Laurie.

Richard Ayoade (shame that instead he went with the Watch).
Benedict Cumberbatch (I might be way wrong, but I thought I heard he might be the next Master)
Cillian Murphy

And if there was an American Doctor:
Neil Patrick Harris

that's the rumour, but i think it's more just fanboys squeeing over the idea than anything resembling reality. :(
