According to Simon Pegg, Edgar Wright will start filming World's End in October and Ant-Man next year.

I know. I'm trying to reserve judgement, but I'm finding it hard.

That's why we all have the collective right to hope for the best for that movie. Dude's got the skills, and as history has shown, sometimes that's all it takes when it comes to getting quality out of Sandler.

If so, that would pretty much require this movie to be a hit. Director's of flops don't get clout,  no matter how beloved they are.

He also storyboarded the action scenes for Iron Man 2.  Which is good.  But he also made an animated scene for the opening of Priest.  Less good, but it was the only good part of the movie.

It looks like the first 2 films would be the Hobbit and the third will be a "bridge" film leading to the first LOTR and would be fleshing out the appendices from the books... thing is, those appendices were never really fleshed out by Tolkein himself, so the third film would more or less be fan fiction based on single sentence blurbs from the books. A lot of it will have to be Jackson making up his own things to tell the stories, which will probably anger some Tolkein fanboys.
