July 4th and Lee finally gets his first win!  And the Phillies finally get some runs in the late innings, that's been a huge problem this season.

Hoping this could spark a turnaround, but they are facing R. A. Dickey tomorrow, we'll see...

Wow, haven't felt this bad about the Phillies in probably 10 years.  They have no one in the bullpen that can do the 7th and 8th and not give up a bunch of runs.  Kendrick actually pitched great the other night for 7 innings but the bullpen gave up a grand slam in the 8th.  They got runs off Dickey the other night but Papelbon gave up 2 in the 9th and they lose that one.

They have to forget about righty-lefty match ups, if the guy that matches up is pitching like shit forget the stats and put someone in that can pitch.  If the ball is down the middle it doesn't matter if a righty or lefty pitched it, it's going out.

Howard and Utley are now back, looking pretty good, but they can't pitch.  Although Chase's arm is looking pretty good...

Looking like they will probably have to win 3 out of 4 the rest of the way to have a shot at the post season.
