Hey, an actually useful update has been added to Netflix!  I don't know if you guys had it all along, but they've just added an extra category to the UK website, RECENTLY ADDED.  Which displays all the titles that have been added to the site in the past month.

Well the website I use is unofficial, as we find the recently added section to be a little slipshot.  It won't like every film or show it acquires and some things stay up for months.  Still, as much as we complain about it, it's better than nothing.  It just means you got to be a little more eagle-eyed for new stuff coming down the pike.

Anyway:

US Highlights: Black Friday (it is not a blaxsploitation version of the movie Friday.  Also, I don't think that's possible), Louie (AKA, the best comedy on TV) and 1313: Billy the Kid (for gay B-movie fans).

Canadian Highlights: Grimm's Snow White (also a warning: Iron Man 2 expires soon)

I always wondered how that got applied to farriers.  Horseshoes poorly done will fall off but really don't have anything to do with "slipping".

From the searches I did it seems the earliest use was indeed talking about putting slippers on your feet to go outside.  Something you would do quickly but might not be up to the task.  It then moved to anything that was done quickly and/or poorly.
