Well, I'm quite jealous. I hope you and your GF have a great time. I'll just be watching from 1000 miles away. In a darkened theater. Full of other people, but no one there for me.

(sniff)

o/` All by myself. Don't wanna be all by myself anymore. o/'

Usually there are more tickets that open up closer to the show. We'll post about them on our twitter and facebook feeds when they do.

Good Lord!  I've been waiting for news of when the tickets were going to go on sale, and now I find out they've already sold out!!!?!?!?

I too was really set on going to this one and I was looking forward to meeting Mike for the first time, and seeing Mike and Bill again.  I was planning on driving from Chicago to see them since Nashville is apparently the closest to Chicago we can get Mike to come.  But it's sold out!!!!!

I guess I'll keep checking back and hope for the best.

Only tickets for the live show have been sold, right?  The Fathom ticket sales are yet to come, right?

myothernamewastaken

Yeah, just the live show is sold out.

I know I'm a new poster here and all (long time fan and I post over on Satellite News), but if anyone should happen to have an extra ticket they'd be willing to sell I'd definitely be interested!

Guess there isn't a need on the part of Rifftrax to do it   the live events always sell out so quickly, but I would have liked to have gotten a head's up on tickets for the live shows too. Would have made the trip to the last one if I would have been able to score tickets because it was on my wife's birthday and would have made a great gift.

You would think they would advertise the on sale date here on the web site or in this forum, instead of just locally in Nashville.  Lots of people would be willing to travel far distances to attend.

Of course, what I should do is just buy up a block of tickets next time to start a new side career as a Rifftrax Live Event scalper.  The demand is obviously there.  ;D

You can only be an improvement over the last ticket scalper. He... was kinda scary...

Totally agree.  I check Satellite News every day for news and they've always posted when tickets were going on sale for the different events, but there was nothing.  I FINALLY saw the light and started downloading the Rifftrax VODs, currently downloading my 6th and 7th ones in the last two days, and thought I ought to look and see if there was any news here.  All I saw was mention of the theater so I googled it and to my horror discovered I was all of THREE days too late!!!  I really, really hope more open up as was mentioned they might.

I think it just goes to show the demand is there for perhaps a little bit of a bigger tour.  If people are willing to drive hours and hours just to see Rifftrax live, then clearly there is a demand there.  And sure, there are the logistics involved of doing those broadcasted live shows, blah, blah, blah, but how about some live shows WITHOUT the broadcasting?  I saw Kevin and Bill open for John Hodgman recently, and all they had to do for some live riffing was have some video screens and a couple of microphones.  And it was GREAT!!!  Surely if Mike came along they could do some live shows in some of the bigger cities.  Or as an alternative since the Belcourt sold out in a couple of days, what about a live encore show the next night WITHOUT the broadcasting?  They'll already be there, and they wouldn't have to deal with the live broadcast technical issues, and they could SELL MORE TICKETS!

I guess basically what I'm saying, since Bill and Kevin have traveled around and done some live stuff is, Mike, where is the love?  :)

Actually, adding a second show later that night might not be a bad idea.  Lots of comedians will do that if their initial show sells out.

We had hoped originally to do additional shows at the Belcourt after the broadcast, but they wouldn't agree to it.

We gave plenty of notice on our social platforms (Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr) but not here or on the website proper. We also didn't send it out via eblast simply because it is such a small venue (but maybe we'll do that in the future?)

How would you prefer we notify you about future ticket sales? (I'm asking sincerely.)

Maybe the Belcourt doesn't want the hassle of having to turn the theater over (clearing out the crowd from the first show, to get the venue ready for the later show)?  Their loss, I guess.

As far as notification goes.  An email blast the day you guys know when the tickets will go on sale will give everyone a fair shot at getting the tickets and also give people a little bit of time to try and see if they want to travel some distance to attend.

The closest these movies usually come to me is Bristol, which is 72 miles away.  Maybe if they came closer.

Now if the guys were gonna be there, I would be there!

I think an email blast would be the best way.  To be honest, there's so much other stuff to keep track of on FB, and I won't even touch Twitter, so an email blast would be the best way to let people know.  I just kind of assumed I'd be getting an email any day telling me when the tickets were going to go on sale.  Heck, you guys have no problem about emailing me when the latest rifftrax is available for purchase!!!   :) :) :)

Had I gotten that email, I would have known when to try and get tickets, instead of stumbling upon it three days too late.

And I agree, the Belcourt is really losing out.  I would think they could easily fill the theater at least once, if not twice more.

Oh well, here's to hoping (again) more tickets come available or someone has an extra they'd be willing to sell.

I mean geez, how much work does a guy have to do to see Rifftrax live?  I mean besides being able to get a ticket, driving 8 hours one way, getting a hotel, driving 8 hours back . . . .
