Agree, while it's great that they can do the occasional blockbluster that "fits" (The Twilight series, High School Musical), VODs are the best. I mean, I'm about as excited to see Captain America as I am to see them re-riff Hamlet. Well, almost.

I disagree. Almost all of their best material to date comes from commentary MP3s. Whether or not its VOD or MP3 does not matter. VOD can fail just as easily as any MP3 track. Both formats have their pros and cons. But one is not better than the other, in my opinion.

Second release in a row with no divx. What gives?

Maybe I wasn't being clear. I guess I meant the the types of movies they do for VOD vs the MP3's. That's just a personal thing. I like the movies they've done for VOD and think they make for funnier material. I don't care what format they're in--it's about the laughs, and again just my personal preference.

I have noticed, when I look at the week's top riffs, that VODs like Ghosthouse and Buffalo Rider are staying longer on the chart and appear to be outselling the likes of Planet of the Apes and Captain America--that's cool with me too.

Gotcha. I may have misunderstood you a bit. I was thinking that you were thinking that certain formats makes for better comedy :)
I'm just glad they're still cranking out product...I don't care what format it's in. I've been remastering my Rifftrax collection as of late, and I have to say, their body of work is really impressive.

They could put their stuff out on eight-track and I'd snap it up!

They're doing an awful lot of VOD titles.  Seems like they're moving away from the old ways and contemporary movies are becoming less and less common.
More MST3K(ish) perhaps.
