Just Some Guy

I thought the car chase toward the beginning of the film was well done.  It was action packed, exciting, well shot and edited, and featured some creative design work.

They should have let whoever was responsible for those ten minutes do the rest of the film.  It probably would have made sense then.

For those wondering about the steering wheel I have to point out that for most cars the steering, breaks, and throttle are mechanical rather than computer controlled, so the TX shouldn't have been able to control them unless she also has the power to control hydraulics (in which case making human's heads explode by shoving all their blood there would be much cooler than a flame thrower).

And what was with the breast enhancement sequence?  Was the TX going to try to pout her way out of a traffic ticket?

And why didn't the T-800's in the previous movies blow up like a micro-nuke when their power cells got crushed/melted?

Anybody else notice that the crane, or possibly the firetruck - I can't recall - growled like a panther at one point towards the end of the chase?

And how come, early on, when Kate asks if the Terminator will let her go, he's able lie to her? Didn't she program him? It wasn't an omission, like letting her think they were going to shut down Skynet - it was a complete falsehood. Did she program him to lie to her past self?

After all these years, I still haven't wrapped my mind around the fact that Kyle Reese, from THE FUTURE is Kennel Boy's father.

Ah, that was satisfying.  A movie with enough silliness for some quality riffing but not unwatchable.

Oh, and I agree with every single word Kevin had to say about the Terminatrix.  Way to represent horndogs everywhere, Kevin.  You Rock!

Gammer is da Pharty Poopah!

Be sure and leave your comments on my page on why you disagree.

Also, don't forget that I loved Aeon Flux and you didn't like it. To each his own, right?

p.s. I'm also starting to get tired of the SciFi themed movies. We need a change in pace.

Don't forget since the start of the new year we've had DD, BE, ST6, Aeon Flux and T3. Thats 5 Sci Fi compared to 3 non sci fi (Troll 2, OTT, Wicker Man)

And Reign of Fire was also a Sci Fi and the last one released in '06 by RiffTrax.

The numbers don't lie
