It is ape law! Tell us what you learned!

Go on, tell us what ape things you learned in "Rise."

wakachiwaka

I learned that a woman who has lived in San Francisco for probably most of her adult life needs to be informed of the existence of Muir Woods "right across the bridge" by James Franco.

Guess she never saw "Vertigo".

I learned that apes in prison practice some pretty strict Oz-like prison rules.

I learned that profit wins out over sane medical testing... Okay maybe I already knew that.

I learned that even-though several years pass over the course of this movie that passage of time seems to have no impact on anyone's lives.

I learned that apes can get pregnant, be pregnant and give birth while in captivity without anyone knowing.

I learned that apparently we have an FTL propulsion system for our space-craft. (As the Icraus seems to have one in the original movie.)

I learned you can just randomly and shamelessly quote your predecessor movie no matter how dumb it is.

Oh wonderful! (/sarcasm)  That putz is in this!?  Is there anything he won't shit on??  It's bad enough we have to keep looking at his pale, scrawny face on General Hospital (at least the times where I bother to watch he's there.  :P ).  Thank goodness for Rifftrax.  Otherwise, you couldn't pay me to watch that abomination of a movie.

I learned that a mother ape trying to protect it's baby will run away leaving said baby and run amok.

I learned that it is a good idea to have a senile old man take care of a baby.

So when Ceaser escaped and freed the Gorilla, he didn't use it to bust through the GLASS ROOF first thing? You know...like they did easily later.

I learned that a brilliant genetecist will not warn a stranger they accidentally sneezed blood on to even go to a hospital.

So...the most notable thing that the guy in the cage has to say is that Ceaser spoke? Not that he raised an army, and murdered another security guard?

I learned that apparently the Rifftrax crew has not seen Tucker and Dale vs. Evil. There was no mention of the guy who played Dale being the lab assistant who gets sick. A shame, that is a great movie.

I learned that when someone is exposed to an aerosolized experimental drug there's no need to quarantine him or monitor him whatsoever.

Radiator grills: They fall off at the touch of a hat.

I learned that the DVD is about an hour away from my house via Fed-ex and I have the MP3 at home on my ipod.

The 113 renders them invulnerable to broken glass.

blahnut

I learned that we should cure all diseases with easily transmissible viruses.  If the 113 hadn't been lethal, the angry neighbor would have accidentally cured all brain disorders the world over.

I learned that Imrahil, like Franklin, also corrects people's spelling on Facebook.

To be fair, the glass in the windows likely would have been tempered "safety" glass which doesn't cut very easily.

I learned that when an obviously distraught and senile man tries to steel your car and ends-up lightly banging it into another car causing superficial damage you should fly off the handle like a raging lunatic and assume your car had been totaled beyond all practical use.

I learned that there are a lot of endangered orangutans in the San Francisco area.

And humans in this world seem to be off their game. Not only have I learned that they are unable to kill a band of apes, which any ape nature film will tell you we can do that in an afternoon, but also unable to establish any sort of quarantine which eventually wiped them out. Not like there's entire branches in the medical field dedicated to this.

I knew I recognised him! Two for two with movies I've loved, will have to see what else he's done

Don't forget, he was also "Drunk Customer" in Zack and Miri Make a Porno. They could've made a joke about liquor and porn. Or porn liquor. Maybe corn liquor. Whatever's funnier.

He was on the CW show "Reaper" that I've heard was good but haven't checked out yet.  I think it's on Netflix.  He was also by far the best part of a mediocre Jason Biggs sitcom called "Mad Love" that was cancelled after one season.
