RVR II

I dunno.. Haven't had time to watch it yet :-[

Ok, I learned that ... well, not a damn thing

Vent

That I must have a remarkable ability to distinguish a male from a female, an ability that the entire Cubo-Russo-Vaugely Foreigno military hierarchy doesn't possess.

Maybe it's just the Mulan syndrome, which states that a woman can pass as a man as long as the plot says so.

Bob

I learned the military budget in "Congo-Columbia-Cuba-Russia"-stan must have an enormous line item for chopping melons.

Speaking of melons, I learned we were very close to a wardrobe malfunction but were denied at the last moment.

Not to mention the fact that we did get to see the Cuban military lady's boobs (albeit through a wet T-shirt, but still, we saw everything) and not the leading lady's much more impressive rack. Did she really have a "no nudity clause" in a movie like Laser Mission?!

She's a "serious" actress.

Eh, she was wearing a skin colored bra underneath.

Yea... I rewound it....

You're not the only one.

I learned that professional bounty hunters, who have the element of surprise, will always miss with their first shot to warn you of their presence. The two main characters OTOH, have unbelievably good aim.

EDIT: Also, watch the slow-mo scene of the guy falling off the horse (right before the almost wardrobe malfunction). The guy lands face first in the sand, moving feet forward. I'd hate to think how much sand he got up his nose.

Action Batch

I learned how Lobster Boy from Space Mutiny met his sad end.

I also learned that you can be gut-shot and not have this impede your mobility in any way.

I choose to believe he bled to death, but not until after the movie was over.

Really, evidently getting shot only hurts for a little bit and it feels better soon after.  I've never been shot clear through the torso but I imagine unless you're Wolverine it works the other way around.

Well, he was bleeding BLACK BLOOD so apparently he's some sort of demon.

Brandon Lee was a Red Blood until he managed to break 15 wooden boards with a bare hand and passed his Black Blood test.

Bob

Maybe the special effects guy thought the movie was being shot in black and white?

MartyS (Gromit)

I just watched this again, didn't realize before that the shot was to his back, so we are to belive the bullet went in his back, through his intestines, and then out his abdomen and he just walks it off....

But I guess it could explain the black blood.   Ew, I think I just creeped myself out, hate when that happens...

If you have a sword IN YOUR HAND, do not under any circumstances use it. Especially if someone's trying to kill your partner and you come up on them from behind. Your best course of action is to drop your weapon, jump on them and get thrown around like a rag doll.

Seriously, why did she even pick up the sword if she had no intention of using it...
