Oh ho hoooo, this sounds interesting.  Uwe Boll at last?
Do you think they looked at the Uwe Boll Rifftrax-wish poll? http://forum.rifftrax.com/index.php?topic=21046
The funny thing is, In the Name of the King (most votes) has an IMDB average above 3! However, Alone In the Dark (2nd most votes) has a current IMDB average of 2.3. I would love a riff of Alone In the Dark. However...

IMDB search for > 1000 votes and < 3.0 rating

A few on this list jump out at me as possibilities (and this is only from looking at the first 50):

1. Jail Bait - Another Ed Wood movie, one recently reissued on DVD.
2. The Phantom Planet - Legend Films released this on DVD, so it's a title Mike would have very easy access to.
3. Hercules in New York - Ahnold's esteemed debut. I'm pretty sure I remember seeing suggestions for this one.
4. Robot Monster - possibly the most popular MST3K episode from pre-Kevin Season One. People have pondered how much better it would have been if riffed in a later season. A Rifftrax would definitely fulfill this desire for many.

Also... *gulp* Spice World. Given the popularity of Crossroads & High School Musical...  :speechless:

Any thoughts on these guesses?

(Pretty unlikely, but Howling II was on that list. Aside from Exorcist 2, it's possibly the most notoriously hated Part II to a successful horror movie. Fun bit of trivia: when Christopher Lee worked on Gremlins 2, the first thing he said to Joe Dante was to apologize for acting in Howling 2!)

The Phantom Planet was also done by MST3K, so I'd file that under "unlikely".

I'm hopping on the bandwagon and hoping for one of the Uwe Boll stinkers.

:D Taken outside of Rifftrax context, the above sentence would be a real "WTF?"

She's the only one that's worked with both Cinematic Titanic & Rifftrax, isn't she? It's nice that she showed she's not part of the perceived competition between CT & Rifftrax.

I feel like Patton Oswalt would be a perfect guest riffer. He did a great job hosting the Comicon group interview on the 20th anniversary DVD set. Would he elect to riff Death Bed: The Bed That Eats?

If you drop the votes to under 1000, there are some potential titles in there as well, such as "Gor," "Iron Eagle IV," "Deathstalker IV," and of course, the 1-2 shot of "Lambada" and "The Forbidden Dance."

Cool, two of those are part of series riffed by MST3K.
With all the VODs coming out, there is a good chance this is another obscure one with less than 1000 votes. But who knows.

Let him finish writing Rape Stove first.

I probably won't be around for the questions, but maybe the first one should be "Is it in the IMDB bottom 100?

It's been a long time since we've had one of these. Somebody has to ask if it has a rudimentary lathe.

I don't think they like looking through lists to answer questions. Maybe the IMDB bottom 100 is okay but I remember them not liking questions like that.

Ask about whether it was released before a certain year (1990?), is it rated R, is the user rating above a 2, etc.

Also, was he aroused?

Holy crap, its been so long i forgot about that.  Now i remember it but cant seem to remember the context involved lol.

To be fair she worked for rifftrax before Cinematic Titanic was out, im sure there is some sort of dont work for the competition clause going on now.

They don't because it makes it too easy i think.  Takes all the fun out of it.

Wasn't the X-Files riff post-CT? Or is my memory just failing me?

Heh i might have missed that one.  I only know the glitter one.
