10. Oprah Winfrey - How the heck did you get so big anyway? By having a book club? Whatev....
9. Diane Sawyer - Stop looking like everything anyone tells you is super confusing...please....
8. Paris Hilton - Here's why you're annoying: You're not really a tv "personality" yet you're EVERYWHERE....
7. Anna N-Smith - Why the hell does anyone care about you?
6. Fran Drescher - See #3 on the list.
5. Michelle Rodriguez - I like you, I really do - but in LOST you were like, unsexy and dead for most of it.
4. Sandra Lee - We can TOTALLY tell what items you are continually....tweaking.... on your body.....
3. Rachel Ray - I can't even watch you with the mute button clicked.... I can STILL hear you....
2. Barbara Walters - Journalism? .... Whatev'....
1. Rosie O'Donnell - We get it. Shock value is all you can earn a paycheck with anymore.... I'm sorry for you.

I (heart) you, JP.

I thought I was alone in my fear of Oprah.  I know she does a lot of very nice things for people, but something in the constant fawning attacks people have over her ticks me off.  Like the new school she opened in Africa (named after herself, might I add)-- that's awesome, but did ABC have to give her a 60-minute tongue bath over it on Oscar night?  And then *repeat it the next week*?

Then again, if any of my books are chosen for said book club, she does, of course, deserve it all.

Perhaps she just gets tired of the same questions.  "Did you really do lines of coke with Harrison Ford on the set of Star Wars?" Can get pretty old after the 300th time.   ;)

Speaking of getting asked the same question for the umpteenth time...

If you ever meet Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer & Firefly & Angel, ask him "Why do you always create these strong women characters?"

I think he should give the answer Jack Nicholson does in As Good As It Gets:

"I think of a man; then I take away reason and accountability."

I don't think Whedon really thinks that, but the reaction would be hilarious.

How about Michael Moore, Star Jones and Steven Seagal (even though he can beat me to death with his man boobs).

Star Jones is annoying, but not in my top ten. Barbara and Rosie are far more annoying to me.

I would probably find Star more irritating in person, but on TV she gets a certain amount of Crazy Celebrity cred.

That's why Dr.Phil annoys me. He has common sense. Everyone says I have common sense. I should have my own daytime talk show. And yet I don't. He does. This makes me angry.
I think you should have your own show already  :)

All you have to do is yell common sense haltingly in a Texas drawl at totally clueless people and apparently they'll think you're a genius. I'm from Texas myself and I think the guy is only popular because Oprah made him so. Why Oprah herself is so popular is a whole 'nother conundrum I just can't understand.

It's because she gives an appearance of "caring deeply" (some of the accounts I've read from people who've dealt with her show tell a different story, but that's another issue). It's the same phenomenon that allows phony "psychics" (redundant term; sorry) to bilk innocent marks; the "cold-reading" technique that psychics use to fool their victims requires that you really listen to people. And, mostly, that's what these people really need: someone to listen to them. It's a sad irony that psychics take a positive human attribute like the ability to listen and turn it into a tool to scam people who are often hurting and desperate.

They are real but I can't remember when they are from.  They were on the magazine's site at one point though.  Apparently men think Rachel Ray is hot, god only knows why.

Not just men, sweetie. I used to think she was hot, but I was disturbed by how the sudden "girlying up" of her image coincided with her becoming really famous (seriously; you NEVER saw her cleavage on old episodes of her shows).

On a related note, Tony Bourdain just posted this hilarious blog entry about the Food Network.  He takes it kind of easy on Rachael Ray, but boy does he ever eviscerate Sandra Lee.

I will subdue my hatred of Tony Bordain to indulge in his Lewis-Black-of-Food sort of comedy =)

Have you read his writing? He's pretty faboo.

That's probably it. They can look at her, and say "Hey, I'm just as good at cooking as a television chef. Now, WHERE'S MY PANCETTA?!"

Eewww... did she cook her own placenta as a meal?
Oh, wait a minute... pancetta. < Checks dictionary.com > Ohhhhh, it's bacon! Right~

Oh, pancetta is so much more than "bacon"...  >drools<

If, by "impressive," you mean "pathetic," then YES.
