Boy, I can't wait to see more unlikeable characters die from a series of Rube Goldberg like events that have a 0.0000000000000001% chance of ever happening in reality!

And I think we have the copy for the teaser poster. ;)

Well then you're in luck, because Final Destination 5 is on its way.

Meh. Still seeing it despite the original poster's griping about it.

But what does the Saw franchise have to do with this movie?

The first FINAL DESTINATION movie I thought was very good, with a decent story and a fresh idea. The sequels got progressively sillier and cornier in places but I am always inexplicably drawn to see them when they come out and get loads of laughs at the outlandish deaths. Some of these are Rifftrax targets, would love to see MIke and everyone take on these movies!! No doubt I shall don my 3D glasses and head for FD5 when its out in the UK. I mean, I have cinema passes you pay so much a month and can see as many movies as you want . . . joy!
Bllions of dollars have been spent to make these nuclear plants safe. Fail-safe! The odds against anything going wrong are astronomical, Doctor!
I appreciate that, Doctor. But let me ask you. In all your fail-safe techniques, is there a provision for an attack by killer bees?

Do you think that maybe they'll have a "surprise" twist where it appears they've won and beaten Death at last, only to discover that their apparent victory was part of Death's plan all along, and they're all screwed?  Do you think they'll both open AND close the movie with a silly "all just a dream" sequence?

BTW I'm totally going to see this.

This series does seem to be the Mad Libs of horror.

(Character Name) has a premonition about death while (situation or set piece).  He/She stops (number) people from dying horribly.

(Character Name) dies when a (noun) causes (noun) to (verb) which causes (noun) to (verb)

Repeat last part until (number) are alive.

(number equal to or less than last number) die in twist ending when (noun) (verb)s.

The main reason I'd think of seeing this movie in the theater would be to see the 3D.  Missed the last one in the theater but caught it on DVD.  Since Erica in general doesn't like 3D movies (headaches) I'll probably catch this on DVD too.

Can't you just go to the movie at the theater and she stay home?

Also, I'd like to see this one have a real twist ending.  Like, one where the humans win.

With movies as expensive as they are, we have to budget pretty carefully, and if both of us can go and enjoy the movie its easier to justify the purchase. Also, she's more of a horror fan than I am, so I wouldn't want to go alone and then make her wait to see it so we can talk about it. Some movies, maybe. A horror flick, no. If a new Miazaki movie hit theaters, maybe I'd go with a friend or alone because she doesn't care for anime, for example.

Never seen any of these movies. Ever since I found out that you don't actually see Death as a character or a creature or something, no interest whatsoever. I will give the first movie credit for kind of being a new concept, though. But really, 5 movies?!

Although it will be all worth it if it turns out at the end the whole series was Death and Bill and Ted just screwing around.

It makes more fiscal sense to spend twice as much money?  WTF?

It's more a matter of seeing a movie without my wife isn't as much fun, so I'd rather save that money until we can both go and we can get more out of it.  I see less movies in the theater that way, but they're overall more fun experiences.  Not really sure why you're suddenly so interested in my fiscal responsibility when it comes to movie outings.
