IMHO, if you say "Will be available 4/12" then well, at midnight one should be able to get to it and not have to wait for , you know, whenever.

Okay. From now on we'll be sure to give you exact time, down to the nanosecond, of when we release the riffs. Because there's no work involved in getting these things out, and we've pretty much been sitting here.

Jeezus, it's coming out the day they promised it - that's meeting all of their side of the deal, surely.

Plus, from time to time, any store can promise something on a certain date and there be a delay.

When the riff is out, it'll be out forever and this minor delay won't mean a thing. If you're sitting at your computer hitting refresh, refresh, refresh maybe you should try and find something productive to do with your time.
FINE

Haha, are you saying you won't buy the riff if it comes out tomorrow instead of today?

You need your fix.

Okay. From now on we'll be sure to give you exact time, down to the nanosecond, of when we release the riffs. Because there's no work involved in getting these things out, and we've pretty much been sitting here.

There's a lot worked involved with getting any product from production into the hands of the consumer but stores don't say the release date of a movie is "Tuesday 4/12 sometime..... maybe." No, they into account all of the stuff that happens from point A and point B including manufacturing, shipping, etc. and know that 4/12 is the day consumers can walk into a store and get in their hands, usually the product arriving in the store the night or two before the release date.

Here, we're told something is available on 4/12 the same day you're still finishing the product.  So if it's known you still have to work on something to finish it why not set the release date further a head of time?  If you said it was going to be released 4/19 you would've had a whole other week to finish things up and if you got done, early, hey early release!  Instead you say "4/12" a day when you still need to work on it, thus, upsetting consumers.

You remind me of the awful costumers I used to have to deal with at Wal mart who if i did not have ever single new movie and game release on the shelf the second their watch said it was mid night would start to curse me out and complain to the manager.  Look you think Rifftrax give bad service stop using the site.  Rifftrax is a small company and with an digital product like a Rifftrax all sorts of unforeseen problems can come up,that they would not have had nay way to know about a week ago.  if they had announced the 19th as the release date and it was ready today you would then be complaining about it being the wrong release date.  if they had released a product with a bug how would you feel about that.  Who's to say a problem would not have come up with a 19th release date?  Also to release a product at midnight someone at rifftrax would have to be working at midnight, these guys to have a right to go home at night and have lives away from the site you know.

Do you work 24/7,never go home, and has nothing ever gone wrong at your work?  Unless you can answer yes to all of those you have no right to complain.

Rifftrax give us a great product,at a very good price, with great costumer support.  there is no reason to complain just because one track out of over 100 gets delayed by one day.

Have you ever seen what happens with most video games, gamers are lucky if the game gets released in the same year as it's anounced release date, let alone the same day.

Well that is what he is demanding from the people who work at Rifftrax.

Look companies that are hundreds of times larger then rifftrax have release dates on entertainment products that slip all the time and since this is the first time I can think of in rifftrax history that a release date has slipped I really don't think it is worth getting worked up other or getting mad at the people who work on this site.

Rifftrax has a great track record when it comes to hitting release date but even in the most perfect company sometimes things go wrong.

Doctor Who?

Also they never sighted a time in the release announcement so as long as it is released before midnight PST it is still just as much on time as if it was released at midnight last night.

Still gives no one any right to complain and be rude to the people working on the project.

Action Batch

Doc's stupidity is rendered moot! IT'S OUT!!! GET IT NOW!!!

Doctor Who?

Yeah I forgot, being nice to the people who make the rifftrax and understanding that sometimes thing can go wrong and it is no fun being yelled at is both stupid and rude :-\

Trekker4747

I don't mean to besmirch the hard work the people at Rifftrax do or criticize them harshly for this delay but, in the past, it seems that the release date is, more or less, "sometime the day of.." and not "will be available at midnight this day."  It seems like they're having problems with it syncing or something to do with the RT player.  Problems I would've normally assumed would have been worked out before the release-date was announced.

And in the light of the problems no update has been posted, that I've seen, of the delay.  Nothing on Facebook, the main page or on the RT's page.   And video-game companies, yeah, absolutely suffer the same problems and are rightfully criticized for it, IMHO a release date shouldn't be announced until the product is finished, done, in the box and ready to be used.   But that's just how I would personally do things.

All respect to the people at Rifftrax but I'm just mostly playing Devil's Advocate here because it's now past 8:00 on the East Coast and people over there who were likely looking forward to this won't likely get to enjoy the RT today.  Yeah it's a minor annoyance for them but, still, an annoyance.  And I say this as someone who works in customer service and has dealt with these kind of problems but usually the problem is outside of my control and outside the store-level. (Normally an F-up with Corporate or the Warehouse.)

It's just puzzling to me that it seems these last-minute technical problems just "came up" today when it was supposed to be release, I would've assumed any problems would've already been worked out.

Again, all respect to the staff at RT and here on the board but it's just slightly frustrating.  It's sad to say but I had arranged my day around watching this tonight now my evening is messed up.  I'll still remain a loyal customer here just slightly baffled at this last-minute delay and see it as an ongoing problem in the entire media industry where the desire to get a date out there sometimes trumps quality control and when the latter clashes with the former, yes, people are going to be upset.   IMHO, problems should be worked out before a date is even considered and this is a problem I see all of the time when it comes to videogames (and admittedly this is one of probably only a couple of times that RT has done this).

However, on another scale of things, movie release dates to video or theaters are often met and delays are much rarer.  With experience I can even say that if a video's release date is Y the product is in the building usually as long as Y-2 days.

All IMHO and, again, all respect to RT and the staff this is no criticism on them just venting frustration I will gladly buy this trax when it comes out and continue to purchase items from RT.
