The retail copy comes with both the rated and unrated versions, but it appears Netflix only has the unrated version.  Are they both on the same disc?  Which version are they doing, anyway?

Both version are on the same disc, so I imagine at the main disc menu you pick which one you want.   I dont know which version will be the riffed one, I am sure they will tell us, but as long as you have the disc, you are covered.

its a flip disc i rented it but ineed to make a copy and don't want to waste a disc
Ninjas don't kill people, Pat Morita playing a ninja kills people.

Yeah man, that ain't cool. Buy it and do that, or just rent it. You can more than likely find it at a pawn shop for $4.

For the UK Rifftraxians (Rifftraxers?  Rifftraxites?   Rifftraxophiles?) be aware that in region 2 there is ONLY the 'Director's Cut'... there's no theatrical version available and - as far as I can tell - there never was a region 2 theatrical version...

I'm also not absolutely sure that the US 'unrated' version is the same as the UK 'Director's Cut' version.

I've ordered the US (region 1) version for myself, so at least I'm all right, Jack, but of course most UK DVD players can't play region 1 DVDs so other Brit fans may be out of luck.

Well, if you reauthor the rifftrax, that makes the dvd region free, so you can play it on any kind of dvd player.

So has it been determined yet which version of the movie is being riffed...I do want to pick this up soon!

torgosPizza

Don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure it's the theatrical release. BUT please wait until the daytime tomorrow - I will confirm this for you.

It's gotta be theatrical release. I couldn't imagine Mike volunteering to go through how ever many more minutes of torment that movie had to offer. :D

If you are going to steal it, why not just steal (rip) both sides of the disc and wait till we know what version it is.  I'm sure we'll hear about it Monday morning.  I went out and bought it at Best Buy for 10 bucks.  I'm sure i'll be trading it in to Wherehouse for credit soon.

Yeah I just got my copy at Best Buy for 10 bucks too. I was looking through both the deals section and the horror section (which had the old version) but the remake wasn't there. I had to get an employee to point out that it was in the drama section. I guess they refuse to call it horror.

Bob

The "Drama" section?    Don't they have an "Unintentially Funny" section?

Are you kidding? Do you have any idea just how ginormous that section would be?
