Well the RB2 export isn't live yet for PS3 users... Should be up when they do the PSN update around 4.  (Which means it'll be live around 7 or 8pm most likely here on the East Coast I imagine.)

I think I was the only person at Best Buy picking up the game.  They didn't have it on the shelves, didn't have any instruments out or anything.  What they did have was a large number of people picking up Fable and they were very angry about having to wait in line behind me to get their game.  No offense to anyone on here who plays Fable, I'm sure you're a well adjusted person who knows how to shower.  These people... not so much.  :P

The game has been out for only a short time, and we now have details on what songs are missing from the 1.93 GB Rock Band 2 export. For the $9.99 export fee, we get all the songs EXCEPT:

AC/DC – Let There Be Rock
Journey – Any Way You Want It
Metallica – Battery
Red Hot Chili Peppers – Give It Away
Soundgarden – Spoonman
Nice. No real big losses here.

So, for those of you who have started playing, how is the setlist holding up? The setlist didn't really get me excited this time around, but is it fun to play? There just feels like there's so much missing ... no Rush, no Iron Maiden...

I confirmed what I expected.  Amy Winehouse makes really crappy music.

Did you notice that those songs are listed on the insert of "Hey look at all the songs in the RB3 setlist"?

After playing GH VI, where you play one side of 2112 without a break, I'm perfectly happy to leave Rush alone for a while.

As far as Rush goes, there's a very, very good chance that we're gonna get another Rush pack by the end of the year.

I've been mainly concentrating on the Road Challenges (for guitar).  The RB3 songs that I have played so far are a lot of fun and nothing is overly frustrating to play yet (ie: I couldn't stand Battery and Visions in RB2).  Although, I have not played all of the hardest tier songs yet.  I would have liked to but between creating my band members, importing RB2, and downloading the free Doors DLC, I couldn't really get too far into it.

I played around with the pro keyboard trainer and it's pretty cool.  The easy tier lessons were...well, fairly easy.  But I kinda hit a wall when I started the medium tier lessons.  So, I put down the keyboard and returned to the Road Challenges.  But I'm excited to get back to it.  It's a nice little trainer.   :)

One thing (among many) that I'm happy about is that Harmonix has down away with the labels next to each track that would identify them as downloaded, RB1, or RB2 tracks.  Now the setlist looks more cohesive.  I know, it's a minor visual improvement.  But it was always something that kinda bothered me since I always knew in my head which songs were in RB1, 2, and which I downloaded.  I didn't need little symbols next to each track telling me what I already knew!   :P

Anyway, I'm thrilled with what I've seen so far.  I can't wait to get some more time in with this game.   8)

Just got it. Best Buy did not have any of the 360 bundles but if you bought the game and keyboard you get a $15 gift card.  They didn't have the Pro Guitar at all.   I have to wait for my wife to hit the sack before I can fire it up.

9:14pm and PSN still hasn't updated.  Can't do the export until that happens and rockband.com gets back online...

FINALLY! Star results in quickplay!!!!  They pretty much fixed everything I complained about in Rock Band 2.  The new sort filters are awesome.  I played a bunch of Pro Keys (easy)  and Lowrider and Whip It were the most fun for me.  Pro Drums really wasn't harder than they way I have been playing since rock Band 2 came out. I have had the three cymbals since they came out and it is pretty easy to know when to hit the cymbals vs. pads if you know the song.  I have a couple of gold star sets so far and I wonder if they loosened the score requirements for them....

11/2 DLC:

Rush – "Subdivisions" X
The Doors – "Light My Fire" X
The Doors – "Riders on the Storm" X
The Doors – "Touch Me" X
The Doors – "Hello, I Love You"
The Doors – "L.A. Woman"
The Doors – "Love Her Madly"
The Doors – "Love Me Two Times"
The Doors – "Peace Frog"
The Doors – "People Are Strange"
The Doors – "Roadhouse Blues"
The Doors – "Soul Kitchen"
The Doors – "The Crystal Ship"

Tracks marked with "X" will include Pro Guitar and Pro Bass expansions for $0.99 per song.

Even though The Doors tracks are available right now they're only available as two seperate packs.  The 3 track free pack and the 9 track pack.  On November 2nd those tracks will be available for individual purchase.  Which is good cuz I only want like 4 or 5 of the tracks from the 9 track pack.

And what was I just saying about more Rush on the way?   :)  Only one song, I know.  But a great one nonetheless.

I love the "rewind" when you unpause.  LOVE IT. (mainly because I have to pause alot because of the kids fighting/needing to go to the bathroom/etc.)

I like that he game makes you play it in order to unlock all the songs.

Huh. Maybe I'm not looking closely enough.

Were you sorting by Keyboards? There are only 60 or 63 if you downloaded the free Doors pack that have key parts.
