well ok i can ALSO agree with that lol.

What does everyone think of bale as batman anyways?  I really liked equilibrimium, and i liked batman beyond and all, but i couldnt get a kenanu reeves comparison out of my mind for some reason.

I thought he was the best since West but then I think Keaton was laughably bad so mine is not the popular opinion.

why did you like him so much?

and i never liked west as batman.  Not sure who i would say i liked, but the whole tv show was just too much camp for me.

Pak-Man

He's a perfect Bruce Wayne, but his Batman's a bit forced. He wears the cowl well, though.

sarcasm_made_Easy

yeah he has a good wayne (which is good cause it was kinda crucial to the plot) and he does LOOK like batman.  true enough, but yeah i think he was trying to hard to be big and scary as batman, there were a few parts that i thought there was a punchline coming cause he was trying so damned hard.

West or Bale?

Bale I thought was the only person to be able to play both Bruce and Batman, he brought the quiet intensity and drive to the role that hadn't been seen before.

I thought Bale was solid as Wayne but I thought he was less than stellar as Batman. Just the way he delivered his lines, like I said a page or three back... It was a bad Keaton impersonation as if Keaton did an all-night bender the night before slamming battery acid shooters. I saw "Begins" at a relatively packed theater and there were many audible chuckles from more than just me when he activated "gravel voice mode".

i could see that, luckily i saw it alone on a dvd player, no one around to sully my opinion, i still think it was a cool movie.

Nunyerbiz

Never said I didn't think it was a cool movie. I think you can find unintentional humor and/or annoyance in one aspect without it ruining the rest of the movie. Overall, I probably still prefer the original Burton film just because I enjoyed the Batman vs Joker dynamic more than the storyline in "Begins". That said, I still very much enjoyed "Begins" and it's probably my second favorite Batman film.

cool,  im really curious as to how the next joker is gonna be.  I hope he doesnt suck.

SecretAgentSuperDragon

He did enough sucking in his last movie, if you know what I mean.

sarcasm_made_Easy

HA!  big zing.

seriously that is a pretty crappy referal.  hmmmm who do we want to play our maniacal comic book villian.  how about this guy, his big breakout role was as a gay cowboy.  REALLY!!!!??!?!?!?!  sounds perfect.

SecretAgentSuperDragon

He probably took the job just for the make-up.

sarcasm_made_Easy

i hope nicolson gets another phycotic role.

Irrelevant? you must be thinking of someone else's posts.

"Mormon church (these are the same assholes who gave us such nonsense as "no sex until marriage," the basis of all those FAILED "abstinence-only" sex-ed programs around the country)"

Yes, I do wonder how you'd get the impression he meant Mormons were the ones behind that sort of shite.

I singled out the Mormons because they're the ones behind the decline of the Boy Scouts. And the "no sex until marriage" thing DID originate with them.
