This...this is just awful. What more do we need? Who cares about Maverick's continuing adventures in the shirtless man world that apparently is the Navy?

At least Mike and the gang have something ready and waiting for them.

The show Archer has made that song so much funnier for me.

"Did" we deserve this? Your verb tense indicates it has already happened, when it's just a rumor right now. I'd chillax, I doubt it will ever happen.

Yeah, don't see this seeing the light of day any time soon really.  I could be wrong, but chances are any Top Gun 2 that ever comes out will be a direct-to-DVD cash in scam like Road House 2.

Doctor Who?

I don't know it does seem like everything that was popular in the 80s is getting new movie these days.

(old man voice) You know, back in the 80s, we didn't have those big fancy 10 spot promos before films. We had slides. Slides with nothing but the title on them. Slides for films like Defcon 4 or Invasion USA. And pre-interwebz, we had no idea what these films would be.

Anyway, back then, there was a slide for a film that we kiddies all assumed was the sequel to Top Gun. That film? Red Dawn. And now you know ...

the rest of the story.

Michael Bay is a successful millionair. Reality TV is still mega successful. And Joe Dante's new movie still doesn't have a US distribution. Yeah, we deserve this.

Didn't he make Looney Tunes Back in Action?  If so i would say there is a very good reason he movie can't find a distributor.

He did, and I do blame quite a bit of that movie's problems on him, but that's only one movie that was bad, and many other far worse directors have stayed out of director jail for worse movies. Also, his new movie (The Hole) has gotten some critical buzz.

I just heard the movie will be about UAV pilots.

Already I'm bored.

One only deserves it if they actually put down money to see it.

Don't be so sure. They say it's a "go" and will star good 'ol Tom Cruise:

Try not to imagine shirtless volleyball with all the actors as they are now.  :gouge:
