Who would you cast in Bruce Campbell's sequel to My Name is Bruce?

QuoteYeah, it's The Expendables, or more like the It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, of horror. I want to get so many horror movie stars that people can't possibly not see the movie. I want to give them other stuff to do. I want to have Kane Hodder be very particular about what he eats. I want Robert Englund to be a tough guy, like he knows tae kwon do or something.

Okay, My Name is Bruce was pretty bad. But this is just fan speculation on Bruce's recent statement that he wanted to make the sequel "The Expendables of Horror" with lots of big name horror icons together.

Okay, first and by far foremost, I want him to have TIMOTHY BALME. And if you have to ask "Who?", then be ashamed of yourself, deeply ashamed. It's Lionel from Dead Alive (Braindead)!!!!! How awesome would that be, Ash and Lionel together kicking undead ass?!
Second, I want Bruce to cast

I would also love him to cast Sigourney Weaver.

So who do you want him to cast?

Brad Dourif (Child's Play)
Robert Englund (Nightmare on Elm Street)
Jennifer Tilly (Bride of Chucky)
Linda Blair (Exorcist 1 and 2)
Tony Todd (Candyman)
Jeffrey Combs (Re-Animator)
Andrew Divoff (Wishmaster)
Warwick Davis (Leprechaun)
Doug Bradley (Hellraiser)
Heather Langenkamp (Nightmare on Elm Street)

and

Kari Wuhrer - because she's in everything.

Mostly from that list, I'd like to see the genuinely talented Dourif and Combs team up somehow.

Don't forget Kane Hodder...I hear he's still bitter about being left out of Freddy vs. Jason, and he could use a pick-me-up kill-fest.

Chances are it'll have Ted Raimi in it somewhere, but that's just me speculating.

Yeah, Timothy Balme's presence in the film would be a complete non-issue for me. I don't know if I'd even place Dead Alive as one of the most important zombie films, let alone horror films.

Sir Christopher Lee though is a different story. He'd be great, except that I don't really see him poking fun at himself in the same manner than Campbell or Englund would be.

Who else though?

Tim Curry? Yeah, he'd be game, and between Legend, Rocky Horror and It, I think he's got a good horror resume.

Simon Pegg? He'd be great, but if he's in it, it becomes a Simon Pegg film, and I don't think that's what Campbell's aiming for.

There's the folks who would likely show up at the drop of a hat: Tom Savini. Kane Hodder.  Linnea Quigley.

Englund and Combs would be natural choices. Todd too, but his schedule actually seems pretty full. (He's in 8 films this year.) Angus Scrimm (Phantasm)  might be good for a cameo. (But, geez. He's 84. I don't know if it'd be a good idea to write too big of a role for him, unless you're planning to dress Bruce's chiropractor up in his suit, just in case.)

Tobin Bell? Yeah. Probably a good choice.

Danny Trejo? Probably.

Corey Feldman? He's got the horror pedigree (Friday the 13th, Lost Boys, Tales from the Crypt) and is definitely a "B" lister. But I get the feeling that he'd be trying to upstage everyone else.

But the problem is, while these folks would be great to see in the film, most of them aren't really big draws. Sure, Englund and Campbell have pretty good fan bases, but even among horror fans, I don't see many people clamoring for a Warwick Davis/ Englund team up.

I mean, hell, I'd buy a ticket for something with Jensen Eckles, Jared Padalecki, Anthony Stewart Head, Dukovny and Anderson, Sarah Michelle and Freddie Prinze, Alyson Hannigan, Seth Green, David Boreanz, Anna Paquin and Jennifer Love Hewitt in it right now, without even seeing a script. I'd buy tickets for the Campbell/ Englund buddy comedy too.  But frankly there aren't enough folks in movie horror whose presence will draw me into the theater, and that wasn't the case with The Expendables.

Still, good luck to Bruce though.

Yes?  Might be wrong but it seems like you left out the end of this point.  Was your second casting choice Sigourney Weaver?  Or someone else?

Yeah, it was just a copy paste typo.

Crow T. Robot 666

Bill Hinzman and Felicia Day.  I don't have to explain either one really, but the second is mostly the whole cute redhead thing.  We need more of those in film.

Hell, I'd pay good money just to see Bruce Campbell ASK Walken to be in a movie.  The comedy of that alone would be genius.
