If Top 50 states win, there should be a separate list for the non-US members of the board.  See how the outside perceives your country.
interesting that....

I've suggested more cultural topics before but they tend not to do well (I still think Script Writers/Playwrights is a good one though  :-\)

I like the nerdy lists, they're an easy start for me (video game characters is my first list). I'm sure after a few more I'll start feeling that way though.

I've done my suggestions in the past, and hosted lists.  I just think it's time for a break from Nerd-dom for a list, that's all.

I agree. I read one comic series (and irregularly at that) and play very few video games. I generally hate movies and I never watch tv. A break from a nerd list would be very welcome.

I already know my #1 and my #50 states.  ;D

States seems... bad. Maybe it's because I've only been to five, all pretty similar, but can that many people here feel that strongly about 25 different states? Maybe they can. Seems odd to me, though.

Then use silly reasons.  Like I will.   ;D

Yeah, that would be why I didn't vote for it (I've been to way more than 5, but not 25 total and some of the states I've been to I didn't even like) . I'm not sure how fair it is to vote for a state one has never even visited. Though mrbasehart makes a good point about coming up with silly reasons to vote on a state, which is what I'll do if that potential LoC wins.

#1 Wyoming. Easy to draw.

Then how about Top 50 Boring Things to Do When You Don't Like Fun?
