Is there going to be a Halloween-themed movie riffed again this year?

Wish they'd do another older horror/monster film.....like Vincent Price's House of Wax or George Pal's War of the Worlds.

Still remember Elvira having fun with all the non-science science and the military briefings that made no sense when she showed WotW.

I'm still amazed that no one - Riffer or iRiffer - has gone after Attack of the 50ft Woman.

Not very Halloween-ish IMO.

I agree - but I guess it fits in with the midnight movie kind of thing.

I would prefer that kind of release to none! (I loved MttM!) But I would really like a horror movie riff.

Halloween is still one of my all time favourite riffs.

You got that right. I do wish they would do more horror flicks from time to time. I love the RT Presents of Saw.  Bill and Kevin riffs are pretty awesome. They seem to get a little dirtier then when they are riffing with Mike.

Mike tends to shy away from films like Saw, so I can understand why he didn't appear on that commentary. If you want to see more horror films get riffed, you can always check out Hor-RIFF-ic Productions. That's the only kind of movie they do.

Except they are working on Logan's Run right now. But, yeah, they specialize in horror movies, and are always hilarious.

Actually I was thinking less outright horror.  Right off the top of my head, I'd like to see Hocus Pocus done.  Furthermore, I'd love to see Cassandra sit in on said treatment.  Sadly, for various reasons, it'll never happen.  Let's just say that for me tis is my 'Dune'...

I've seen several mentions to that certain films are not riffed either too violent or too dark in matter because of Mike. Is there any proof of this? or just fans guesses?

Because one of the shorts "Whatever the Weather" I believe it was had one of the dirtiest lines I've heard in a Rifftrax or MST3K episode and I believe it was said by Mike. Just curious is all.

Exorcist 2.... come on. This is one of the worst movies ever made AND it fits the "horror" idea for Halloween.

Would like to see something for Halloween, if not that.
I know you are but what am I

The 'trick or treat' anthology film recently is actually very good if you ask me.  Not that it's every stopped them from riffing before.

As far as vintage 'Halloween' movies... 'Halloween 3: Season of the Witch' takes the cake.

If it's just horror in general, i'd say go with 'Dawn of the Dead' original, or 'The Shining'

If it has to be a 'newish' horror movie, maybe 'The Ring' american version ...btw i heard that newish movies run hollywood.

FINE

Absolutely, i think i brought that up at some point many moons ago. I actually like the first 3...the 4th was beyond terrible.  That'd be a good one.

Oh, nice call

I could go for Excorcist: The Director's Cut ...it is horrificly bad as the Alien director's cut.   The additions they made are pointless and stupid.
