I know there are newcomers and I know there are people who have way too high of a post count (;)).  But whoever you are, let's play My First RiffTrax!  I'll start:

My first one was technically X-Men 1 but I bought The Fifth Element at the same time, and watched that first (this was when they were first released too; gee, has it been 4 years already?).  I remember hearing Mike and realizing the awesome potential this brought forth predicting it would last minimally 4 years (ok... maybe not that last part ;)).  Fun fact:  I had actually had just bought my MacBook Pro (which I'm still using), so those are actually the very first tracks in my iTunes too!

So whether you've only heard one or own every single release the day they were made availabe, go ahead and share yours!   ;D

It was a muggy evening in August, 2006. On a whim, I stopped by the Satellite News, which I had fallen out of the habit of visiting regularly, since there had rarely been any news to report in years. A recent headline caught my eye: New from RiffTrax: Star Trek V. To be honest, it was the words Star Trek that grabbed my attention. What is this RiffTrax, I wondered? (I was aware of Mike's commentaries on Legend's colorized releases, but wasn't all that impressed.) I wish I'd known about RiffTrax from the very beginning, but ST V was the perfect movie for me to discover first, as it was the first Riff that I already had the DVD for. (And also the first non-solo Riff, I believe?) I quickly ran to grab my wallet, my head buzzing with this Earth-shattering news, and after a couple hours of belly laughs I was completely sold on the concept. The rest is history.

Someone (who, as far as I know, isn't on this board) gave me Star Trek V and Road House as a present.

Had to check "My Files" to remember which one I got first but it turns out it was Star Wars Episode 1.  Ahh... good stuff.

I had been following Mike's adventures at Legend Films thanks to links from Satellite News.  So I was right in the mix of things when Rifftrax was announced.

Bought Roadhouse when it was still the only Rifftrax available.  I loved it, but I wasn't really sure if this new thing was going to take off.  That was until Rifftrax #3 came out.  Star Trek V with Mike and Kevin.  That was when I knew they had a winner here.

Compound

Well, it looks like I purchased "The Grudge", "Fifth Element" and Episode 1 all at the same time. I have no idea which one I watched first. "The Grudge" probably.

And it looks like I bought them 36 hours before someone send out an email about here to an old Ratmm list. Ha! In your face, Dalty!

Glitter.  I think it was the newest one when I found out about Rifftrax.

It was also only one of two that I ever watched via the MP3 + video method (meaning without doing a reauthor).

Technically, Reefer Madness from Legend films, but for when they got the rifftrax name, either Firewall or X-Men.

daredevil, me thinks. though, my first purchase involved generations, undiscovered country and battlefield earth.

Similar story to Sharky, I also discovered Rifftrax via a random visit to Satellite News... This would have been sometime in the summer of 2006... ST:V had not been released yet, but had been announced. The first one I watched was Road House which I thought was excellent and is still in my personal top 3.

Minnesota

Legend DVDs :)

Think NOTLD was the first.

Swing Parade (the Mike-only version) was the first one I ever saw. I didn't know about Rifftrax or MST3K then, I heard of the name Rifftrax through the Nostalgia Critic.
Next were the Star Wars prequels and than the rest followed

Wes964

Well, I guess my first post should be about the first Rifftrax I bought.

It was Star Wars Episode I.  I absolutely hate the Star Wars prequels, and Mike and Kevin had me hooked from then on. :)
