Fuck you.  You're not allowed to make a movie as an audition for riffing.  You can't intentionally make a cheesy movie.  You have to try and make a good movie but fail.  Do you know anything about the art of enjoying movies ironically?

Doctor Who?

Guys I think Thrifty just snapped ;)

You would too if you saw Hobgoblins 2.

The commentary is good.  Every line is Rick Sloane talking about what went wrong with this scene.

Dear god. You actually watched it with commentary? Please tell me that was the first viewing. I can't imagine wanting to watch it again just to see what the director has to say.

Second viewing.  I wouldn't watch a movie commentary without watching the movie first.  How else would I follow the story with the comments drowning out the dialogue?

Story?

And you are a braver man than I. Once was more than enough for me.

Darth Geek

Does he really use the "Hooooobgoblins, hoooobgoblins" song from MST?

More importantly did Rick Sloane pay to use the song in the movie.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

No.

So has succeeded in making a film worse than the original Hobgoblins?

It's probably about equal in terms of quality, but then you factor in that he's obviously trying to cash in on the market of ironic film enjoyment, that makes it worse.

I don't recall it in the movie itself, but I do remember it being in one of the trailers.

And What I remember most about Hobgoblins 2 is one of the special features where the cast from the first one is making fun of the sequel.

Closed-captioning (if it has them).  That's how I do it with films I haven't seen with Rifftrax.
