Wonder if there's enough material out there, including all movies, TV shows, cartoons, etc, to start up a 24/7 Comic Book channel...

Disregarding any kinds of rights issues, I think there would be loads of material for a Comic Book Channel (which I think is a good idea, Pak).  From the Batman/Wonder Woman/Hulk/Spider-Man live action shows in the 60s and 70s, to the cartoons of the previous 20 years (plus a whole bunch of movies), it could be a channel I'd watch regularly.

It would be cool to see the various different decades of comic book adaptations together for comparison.

Hey, uh...is anyone on here rich enough to make a cable television network?  Because this really does need to happen.  Not only is there enough cartoon/live action series throughout the last forty years, dating back to those horrible-yet-somehow-good 1960s adaptations, but there is also room for original programming:  review shows, Marvel and DC could make their direct to DVD movies for the channel, independent books could have a series and get some exposure, that sort of thing.  I'd get cable for something like this.

I mean, hell, G4 is still in business and all it does now is show Attack of the Show and Bruce Lee movies.
I like artificial grape flavor, but I hate real grapes.  A paradox!?

One of Ann's Mother's cousins is (so what, Ann's first cousin once removed?), probably, I'll maybe have a word.

I would hire Olivia Munn and it would bury them.

Are you really comparing the recent superhero movies to the Justice League TV show?

Hell, Ghost Rider wasn't even that bad.
Sorry for not catching this and replying sooner.  No I wasn't making any direct or specific comparisons....

QuoteI guess it goes without saying that 'comic book/superhero' movies are still, by and large a mixed bag of bad and good

As you can see, I was just stating that comic book movies IN GENERAL can be as good as Dark Night, and as bad as the Justice League un-aired pilot...

Hosted by Bruce Campbell.
Quickly followed by a 24/7 MST3K channel hosted by all the various cast members/writers of the show (except Jim Mallon)

Oh, and they can show old serials.  Plus the majority of anime is based on manga so in the off chance there are voids, it can easily be filled (and if it must, go with classics like Astro Boy and Captain Harlock).

I'm actually surprised there isn't an Anime channel.  I'm not that into it myself, but it has a big enough following...I guess because most people who would watch a manga/anime channel probably already have the DVDs.

There's the Anime Network, but it's premium programming through most providers.

AH! Captain Harlock! Word.

For some reason all I can see is Faye Dunaway in "Network" pacing in Robert Duvall's office, talking fast saying things like "And we need more Bruce Banner, but REAL problems, not just smashing various things - REAL DRAMA,"

Someone set this in motion.
