Without knowing anything about the script or who is going to play Captain America other than an American actor, this makes the Captain America movie one hojillion times more awesome, even if it may not likely play out.

Cap doesn't stand a chance against Hugo Weaving. He steals every movie he's in.

Doctor Who?

This movie just got Awesome.  Weaving is the only reason I sometimes watch The matrix movies unriffed,he always is great.

Tripe

He's an inspiration; not many half human, half chimp hybrids would be able to make a go of an acting career.

Almost always an entertaining actor.  :)

Cosmic Muse

This is awesome news, so long as they don't hire Keanu Reeves for Captain America.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

Tripe

Having a pretty man with negligible acting talent? They'd never do anything like that

Yes but you couldn't quite qualify Keanu as remotely being on the same level of buffness as Reb Brown. Of course if you want to really get wonky with the casting they could hire Taylor Lautner as Steve Rogers just to attract the Twihard Teenie Boppers.

I think I'd take Taylor Lautner over John Krasinski. I wouldn't be happy about it, but I'd take it. At least he sort of looks the part. (That ridonkulous Krasinski rumor is dead now, yes?)

Darth Geek

Cool. So does this mean there will be three Captain America movies? 'Cause apparently Weaving only does trilogies now.

Yeah. Priscilla, Queen of the Desert was part 1 and V For Vendetta was part 2. Duh.

Duh...if you'd seen The Wolf Man you'd know that it has to be part two at most.   ;)
