Casino Royale.

I was surprised how hilarious the jokes were. Casino Royale has such a pretentious aura to it and the sauveness lends itself to hilarious sarcastic riffing
"Shoot something! Empty a clip into a mailbox! You owe us!"

Each piece of it, or all together?

"Each piece of it."

"And now for the payoff of any Bond film:  opening credits featuring silhouettes of ostensibly nude women wielding guns and jumping on trampolines."

This is why Rifftrax will never do another James Bond film:  that one line basically demolished them all.  Work's done.

The riffing sequence during the opening credits is my favorite stretch of any Rifftrax that doesn't involve Wookiee holidays.

I think Quantum of Solace can be riffed (the many fonts alone would make a great short riff), but I feel the rest of the old Bond movies just come across too much like they know how stupid & ridiculous they are for the RT guys to riff.

xXx - In my opinion, it's between this one and Predator for the best solo Mike.

The "Oh no! My collection of [interchangeable volatile chemicals/substances]!!! jokes never got old.

"Did you enjoy that kiss? Because it will never happen again."
Mike as Vin "You mean with any girl, or just you?"

Dude! He's pulling off a 520 Snuffalufagus hair with a bent forward half open desk drawer! (Not verbatim but I love those jokes.)

I've just decided on which will be my next Rifftrax.   :D

A good choice if I do say so myself. Loved their The Big Lebowski reference in it.

Just saw Matrix Revolutions.

I don't think the riff's as good as people say; while there are some good laughs, the movie is so tedius and obnoxious that it isn't even fun to laugh at, as the riffers seemed to get bored with the movie.

Twilight - second viewing

I showed this at my MST meet-up. I liked it the first time but it seemed twice as funny with nine other people. It was a huge hit. It really is a strong trax with funny riffing throughout the entire film. I now understand why this is considered one of their best. Sometimes they just hit the nail on the head as far as new films go. This pale, twitchy tale of the teenage undead was begging for their special treatment. I really really don't get this whole Twilight phenomenon. I would be hard pressed to think of two more unappealing romantic leads than the two in this horrible film. I realize I'm not a 16 year old girl, but this movie stinks even when you compare it to other 16 year old girl things. The new show, Vampire Diaries, is a direct rip-off of Twilight, and yet it's about ten times better then this movie. Haven't read the books, so I can't comment on those. Will definitely not be seeing the second film until the inevitable rifftrax. And even then I'll probably need two or three sittings to get through it.

THE QUEEN!!!

Star Wars Episode II

uggggggghhhhhhh!!!! killlllllllll meeeeeeee!!!!!!

Pretty good riff considering Bill wasn't there. (He's my favorite). Funniest when they say what I was thinking, like how bad Hayden is (how on earth did he get cast? the other choices must have been terrible!) and how conveniently her outfit gets torn so her bare midriff shows. Funny stuff.

The reason why Hayden sucked so bad?  Because Lucas is a once-great-but-now-shoddy director.  Compare Natalie Portman's acting range and talent to what she delivered in the series.  It's the director's job to make a great actor shine.  I'm sure they're all very capable actors.  Lucas just thought he could direct actors the same way he could direct his special effects people.  Coincidentally, I'm finishing up Episode I.  I'll be back here soon to report.

Heck, even Christopher Lee occasionally gave a bad performance in these movies. Listen to his line reading when he first walks in when Obi Wan is captured. Really, really bad.

I think some actors are more dependant upon the director to give a good performance. Some can be good regardless of what they're in, but some clearly suffer with a bad director.

The fatal flaw in the whole prequel series is that everyone trusted Lucas to know how to direct a Star Wars movie.  I mean, take a look at the fly-on-the-wall documentary on Phantom Menace.  The only one to ever question him was the editor, who was basically just pointing out the elephant in the room.  But now I'm just regurgitating what that 70min review dude said (but, man, did he hit the nail on the head with that).
