I think we need official rules first. For those of us who don't really remember the '80s, we don't want to see a bunch of obscure deep cuts that you old foagies remember that happen to have charted for week.

No, there's not going to be a huge outcry for Billy Ocean or Firehouse in the list because we've mostly forgotten those songs, just like you won't be seeing "No Scrubs", "Sunny Came Home" or Cher's "Believe" on a 90s list. But those "obscure deep cuts" were all over the radio at the time, so I'd expect to see them.

That's exactly what I'm talking about - songs that were all over the radio, not something you have to look up to check if it charted or not. I'm saying songs that people remember, whether it mad a Top Whatever List shouldn't matter.

That reminds me.  what on earth is The UK any way.  i know it's not a country but what on earth is it.  It just seems to be there with out being anything.  it's real and yet it is not real,it reminds me of Canada.

I know that but what is the point of it?  I mean unlike the united states it's not a real country.  it's just three countries that all call themselves by that name but still have their own names.  there really isn't any point too it. Look you are making it really hard for me to start my stand up bit!

Because it is a sovereign state. I was being deliberately chauvinistic (which is odd since technically I shouldn't be chauvinistic about a country whose citizenship I no longer hold).

I just finished mine too.  I think we need to wait until the poll closes later tonight.  And then more will be revealed.

I still think I'm gonna wait until the last day to submit my list.  Just in case I think of more songs, I might want to change my list a bit.
