No, there's not going to be a huge outcry for Billy Ocean or Firehouse in the list because we've mostly forgotten those songs, just like you won't be seeing "No Scrubs", "Sunny Came Home" or Cher's "Believe" on a 90s list. But those "obscure deep cuts" were all over the radio at the time, so I'd expect to see them.

Eff that noise, that song would absolutely be on my list. And Cher's "Believe" would be on my "Top 50 Drunken Karaoke / Celebrity Impersonations" list.

Children of the '90s unite! Our crap was even worse than theirs!

Also, drunken karaoke is redundant.

If we could go back and add a Top 50 '90s Songs option, I'd totally change my vote.

A top '90s songs list would seem inevitable.  I'd be all over that one too.   :P

A licky boom boom down.

I already have questions. For example, let's say a song was released in the '80s, but didn't chart in the States until the '90s. It's still an '80s song, right?

I assume this will all be explained when the new thread happens, but I'm impatient.

I thought something was mentioned about using the peak chart date as the criteria.  But I may be wrong.

The talk was about celebrity crushes.  Someone jokingly said you had a crush on Garry Shandling.  (Not sure why, that is pretty much out of left field.) You said "Not even close".  Then you said you were more of a Sam Kinison type, meaning you had a man crush on Sam Kinison instead.

I hear they call it a bro-mance nowadays.  Although I don't know how well it will work out seeing as how Sam has been dead for 18 years.

They have a word for that too.   :o

I think everybody knew what you "meant", but it still sounded kinda funny the way you said it.  Sorry to take the piss out of you, but you walked right into it.   ;D

I apologize RVR. I certainly wasn't attempting to seriously imply that you wished to have gay sex with a deceased stand-up comedian.

*NOTE TO SELF* Never make gay jokes.
