Since this is for the theatrical cut, but both the theatrical and alternative cuts have the same length, you might have trouble determining which to use.

You'll want to rip VTS_16, PGC 0.

As I've said before, since the only difference between the two is the last minute or two, it might not actually matter which you use.  But you might as well use the same ones the guys at Rifftrax used.

And another heads up for other reauthors:  Similar to Star Trek,  there needs to be 2 seconds (2000ms) added to the beginning of the audio track, either through Audacity or set up as delay on your  remux program of choice (IFOEdit, etc>).  This is in addition to going through the Delaycut process.

I didn't have to do anything like that.

Neither did I. ReJig wanted to be a punk and not reauthor it properly, so I had to use DVDLabPro2, but nothing with the audio.

I also used DVD Lab.  I can try Rejig when I get home and see what happens.

Question.  When I use DVDFab, it gives me the options 54 and 56.  Which one should I use?  I tried with 54 and it was the theatrical cut, but when I brought the movie together, it didn't sync up with the video.

Side Note : Is there a way to test the ISO file BEFORE I convert it to MP4?  That step takes 3-4 hours and it's really annoying testing it afterwards just to find out it's not synced right.

Sorry, can't help you with that.

If you use Slysoft's Virtual CloneDrive, you can set up virtual DVD drives.  Then you can mount the ISO file and your computer will treat it as if you've put an actual DVD in there.  Then you can open it with whatever software you have that plays DVDs.

Having a new problem.  I've tried 5 times using different settings with DVDFab and everytime there is nothing there.  Can someone please tell me what I'm supposed to do?

Use Rejig?

DVD Fab is usually only for those movies with nasty copy protection.

The free version of DVDFab cannot and will never be able to correctly rip DVDs with the latest "X Protect" copy protection. You can get around it but it's a needless pain in the ass. You have to find the correct Title number in a sea of Title numbers. You have to covert the AC3 to WAV, import it into an audio editor, then insert silence into the track to get it to sync up...blah blah blah. A free program is not worth this hassle IMO. I'm tired of doing this.

So, I'm breaking down and purchasing AnyDVD. It's about $66 US which is well worth it if I don't have to go through the Fab hassle.

Mine went fine ISO'd by with dvdfab, demuxed with dvd decryptor. No need to tweak anything.

What did you do?  I used the same things and my sound is DRASTICALLY off from the rest of the movie.  I mean by 3 or 4 seconds.  I tried the 2000 ms thing listed above but it was no good either.

That's strange. What version # of DVDFab do you have? Did you run into any trouble ripping Star Trek or Transformers 2?

If this was meant for me...Nope.  No problems with either.  Have both and both work like a charm.  This is the only one I have problems with.

Actually, it was meant for Edgewriter, but that's also interesting info. Transformers 2 was a colossal clusterfuck for people who weren't running AnyDVD. Shit, I give up trying to figure this crap out. On to AnyDVD.
