Chris Nolan's Third Batman Film Confirmed

 I like John Byrne's neat little twist on Ra's in the first Superman & Batman: Generations.

Talia is more than just somebody who get to experience the batpole you know.

And her father was a fairly big part of the first film....

Plus I didn't give a toss about Rachael, neither of 'em.

I didn't like her much either but she's a part of the franchise, and I'm paranoid that introducing a potential "love interest" would just open a can of worms.

I also feel that the films should move forward, not backward, and bringing back the major conflict from the first film would just be repetitive.

Of course, I have a lot of faith in Chris Nolan and if he were to take on such a premise he'd probably kick me in the balls with how awesome it would turn out to be. But to say my trepidation is unfounded would be putting too much faith in him.

So, here's hoping he keeps the status quo and releases one hell of a movie (with the Riddler).

I really do not want Nolan to do Superman.  If Superman has to become a freak dressed in black who threatens people with a stupid voice and has no friends in order to make money i would rather see him go away.  Sorry but I hate the idea of a dark Superman film and i really don't think Nolan knows how to make a movie that isn't dark.  Dark is fine for Batman but Superman is about hope.

I don't see any reason to believe that Nolan would want Superman to go in a darker direction. He did that for Batman because it is appropriate for the character. I have faith that Nolan would want what is appropriate for the Superman character. Saying, "it worked for Batman to be dark and gritty, so we'll make Superman dark and gritty" is the thinking of a shallow, stupid movie executive. Nolan is better than that.

Got to agree that a serious take on the Riddler would be awesome.  Also I'll eagerly await the day Harley Quinn gets the film treatment.  You don't even need to show the Joker's face for it to work, keep him hidden away in Arkham while she acts on his behalf.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this, I'm not sure it's possible for there to be a Batman movie I like more than 'Dark Knight'... but if the worst case is the film not  being brilliant then that's still a pretty great movie.

Bane is not a cool villain full stop.  I don't care what medium you're talking, a luchador is not a good adversary.

The Longest Night story is pretty cool, but yeah, Bane isn't that cool.  I also don't want Robin anywhere near these movies.

Bane gave us Azrael as the Bat which I enjoyed though, truly, they could have had anyone Break the Bat and it would have been about the same situation.

Here is my thing so far both of the villains we have had in these movies can not stand up to Batman in a fight,if they go at him in hand to hand they lose.  I think it would be cool to now have Bane because then we could see a some really good fights with a villain that can stand up to Batman. 

Also I don't see why you can't do Robin.  Just because he was done badly last time is no reason why he can't be done right this time.

Ras Al Gul (sp?) fought him pretty well at the end of Batman Begins.

Robin doesn't make sense in the super dark gritty films Nolan has made. Unless Nolan really wanted to do him, I would say leave him out. We don't want Robin short shrifted like Venom was, do we?
