I don't want to be a contrarian but think it would be a lot of fun to hark back at all the awesome people that have made this forum what it is.

I'd be ok with a list (in no particular order) of people on the forum.  And I'd like to be lumped in with everyone else as #51.  Ooooh so close!

Yeah, guilty pleasures seems a bit broad of a category to me. Guilty pleasure as in "cheesy kids movie we still like to watch", as in Spaced Invaders, or guilty pleasures like hentai?

Yeah, guilty pleasures seems a bit broad of a category to me. Guilty pleasure as in "cheesy kids movie we still like to watch", as in Spaced Invaders, or guilty pleasures like hentai?

I'm not that into guilty pleasure movies, but I'm going to put all and between.  Particularly Invasion of the Bee Girls.

The idea of guilty pleasure movies is a movie that you really like but would feel weird about actually admitting that you really liked it. If you still watch cheesy kids movies but don't have any hang-ups about it, then it's not a guilty pleasure. If you love Titanic but wouldn't cop to it, then that's a guilty pleasure. As for porn-type stuff, I think we can rule that out because I imagine there would be a few lists that were nothing but porn!

I  thought it would be interesting for people to see what movies other people kinda kept in the closet. There would no doubt be movies that some people considered a guilty pleasure while others might consider it a favorite. Also, I thought it would be a good exercise in casting off any shame people might have and cleanse themselves of guilt. Now let's all stand up and hold hands.

Got a note to add about the comic book topic: "It would be top 50 comic book titles, not specific individual issues.  It would include entire series, creative runs within a series, graphic novels and one-offs (*shudder* I hate that term, sounds so pretentious/defensive), and series within anthology series (IE Ghost World, Maus, Judge Dredd, manga, etc.).  This does not include comic strips since it has been shown people would like those categories separated, which is fine with me. And hey, if you're going to vote comic, please do it now and in numbers."

Well in that case, I could do that guilty pleasures thing. SOunds fun. I confess I do like The Chipmunk Adventure, stupid as it is.. But if any Twilight movies make the list, then so help me I'm ordering a hit man on all those who included it on theirs.

Brilliant suggestion, for everyone's safety. Then when someone says "yuck, you like that movie?" we who submitted the list can pretend we didn't and say, "yeah I know, what losers!"
