With regard to Post Counts displayed on the forum.

As long as the posts go into the appropriate sections, does it really matter if people drift off into jokes etc? And it's a bit silly to start a thread at the last post and try to figure out what the thread is about.

Hmm, that's different, haven't come across a forum that has done it that way before.  I am part of one forum(HTF) that took away post numbers because of the faux-authority that was created. Another forum didn't count posts made in the offtopic areas.

Which is another option we have. Perhaps we'll cull all of these options together and make a new poll. After the poll's been run for awhile, of course.
